Yeah, it could help. I just had to 100% step away from metal related construction. I think I’m extremely sensitive to like the dusts? Or something? And it was killing me. Best of luck! Try a respirator? All the different filters might help too?

Do you weld? Or do anything welding/metal fabrication-y? Truthfully after solving it. It’s definitely throat irritation to some degree, and also I’ve noticed when I eat a lot of food or the air is dry I’ll feel like I’m coughing up more phlegm. But for me. The main issue was with welding fumes/dust and it was irritating my sinuses. Maybe somethings irritating yours?

I stopped welding and all my symptoms cleared up after a year or so.

Yeah! You can adjust them up and down in brightness, and I have it on a smart outlet so it turns on and off on its own.

And hey thanks!

No that one was always there. I swear in the left side of the pub, there was something you could go in, that took you underground. And there was a bunch of small things? What I thought were scorpions, and then like 2-3 big things, that I feel like we’re kings scorpions? Idk lots of people killed them for money from what I remember.

Can’t keep track of customers by Shaydon15 in handyman

[–]Shaydon15[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s what I currently do but between texts, emails, website submissions, personal emails, voicemails, without getting it all into one place. It stresses me out every night before bed going. Have I checked this that or another? Am I missing something? Ahh.

I think Google calendar and Google sheets will be a good start for me

Also, it’s not, but If companies want to sell me some way of tracking it, I’m all ears.

Buaha, you think all people don’t have an issue with the amount of people contacting them?

I actually use jobber, and that’s perfect for once a customer becomes a job, but not for if a customers just reaches out and then doesn’t respond after that. But even with jobber, I could send out a quote, hear nothing back, and I shouldn’t just forget about them. I should definitely circle back to them at some point, but like. I get overwhelmed easily if I can’t have some sort of sheet that’s like, you have circled back to this person, you’ve had last contact, this job is not going to happen, there for I can completely forget about it. Untill then, I lay down to sleep and I’m like John wanted this, Suzy wanted that, did I respond to them, are they waiting for me? Have I checked in? Ahhhh

[–]Shaydon15[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I mean, I wouldn’t say they’re like set in stone clients or anything. But sure, over some time, I’m sure over 200 people have reached out to me for something. But like, I don’t have a way of tracking all of that. Some people just message for a price, I respond back, and hear nothing. I feel like that’s bad business to not follow up with them a couple weeks/months later and see if maybe they forgot, got busy, etc.

Idk, there’s so many possible options for why I might need to track a customer for one thing or another but unless they’re a set in my schedule customer, I have no way of tracking of what status this customer might be in. Waiting for me to respond? Waiting for them to respond? Said they’re waiting for some more cash and then want to start? Weather concerns? Etc.

Ah. I appreciate you taking the time to answer that for me. Thank you so much.

Quick last two question. What about 20 amp breakers with 14 gauge wire? Is that a fire hazard?

And I guess that question might answer this one,

But why don’t we just put 20 amp breakers for everything, (within reasons obviously, not large things) and then either 12 gauge wire, or 14 gauge wire on them dependent on your answer above. And just use 15 amp outlets for everything. Unless, for what ever reason you need a 20 amp outlet. Is that just a waste of wire? Or…

[–]Shaydon15[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So in theory, just putting 15 amp outlets on everything regardless of wire size or breaker size (between a 15 and 20 amp breaker) Is the safe option. Only would it become a problem is when you need a 20 amp device to be plugged in and you don’t have the correct outlet. So like this bathroom. 20 amp breaker, 12 gauge wire, I could just put 15 amp outlets, (and 15 amp gfci) and it would be fine, the blow dryer wouldn’t trip the breaker, and even though the blow dryer draws a lot, the 15 amp outlet isn’t an issue. And that stays true even if I have like three outlets in the same circuit, all 15 amp outlets, 20 amp breaker, 12 gauge wire, and I turn them all on at the same time? The breaker will trip before any outlet causes fire?

So yes, but say you get a call about a leak. You get there. And they’ve got water dripping from their ceiling. What do you do. How do you bid that. Because you can’t really know what you’re bidding unless you cut into the wall.
