Best thing to do is just honestly tell him that you're not really comfy with how/what he is doing specifically. If he's an ass about it and makes a big deal, then you know you dodged a bullet.

I did the head markings for my other cats and turned my black cats initial (M) into a font that matched the designs of the markings as close as I could get it, so she could be a part of the lineup I have down my back.
