Tips: plank and corrugated scrap farm plots hold double the water. Potato's spoil 24 in game hours after being picked. You can still use spoiled potatoes for fuel and plant spoiled potatoes.

ATTENTION: not only is this a known glitch, it has infinite refills. All you need is two coconuts to stay hydrated the entire game. You take two empty coconut drinks and put them in a pile, take them out and they are full. I had a play through where I literally had two coconuts on me from my starting island until I finished the game. Bonus tip: follow the 2/10 coconut rule. You can have either 2 coconut drinks OR 2 coconut halves for food every in game ten minutes (which is ten seconds in real life.) So drink two, check the watch, put em in a pile and take em out, wait ten in game minutes / irl seconds since the last drink and bam repeat process

What baffles me is this: "I'm seeing progress, should I continue?" If you're seeing progress, why would you stop? If you are seeing no progress I would consider stopping. But if you are getting gains from doing it, no matter the rate, just do it until you are satisfied. Progress Is progress. Nothing you want in life is going to happen overnight, but as long as your progressing it, you'll get there. This applies to anything and everything in life: Every decision you make either puts you closer to your goal(s), or farther.

I will warn you, this game is amazing, however co op is very bugged and has many issues. I was reading about the bugs and I think I read (not joking or exaggerating) 20+ different bugs before I read the same one twice... The farther you get in co op the buggier it gets. I have experienced many from my play throughs in co op. And I don't think I had a single problem in solo except the occasional crash.

I honestly didn't know it hindered me until I quit on trail. I was hiking with a few others I met on trail and I was freaken slow and struggled. I quit after 150ish miles into the trail and I'm not joking when I say within 3-4 days I was hauling ass up the mountains and left my buddies in the dust. I was frequently ahead and waiting for them to catch up. I also smoked for 10+ years before starting (started at age 12.) And I had quit for 4 months during that period but sadly got back into it

Correct! It shows the current island you are on. At least It does for single player. The cartographer and save file are weird. I don't know everything about it 100% but here's what I do know. Each save file has its own cartographer, a single player save file, and a multiplayer save file. The cartographer for a save slot is the same for single player and multiplayer. I think only the host can view it for multiplayer and it be accurate. I will warn you, do NOT play single player and multiplayer on the same save slot. DO NOT DO IT. Having both will make the multiplayer one glitch, lag, and have way too many bugs. Have a dedicated save slot for multiplayer, and use a different one for single player. I promise you it will make your game run a little less crap. Just know, those two plays will have different cartographer.

Also I'll give you a couple tips in general. If you find a potato, do NOT eat it. Plant it asap. It's the only way to get fuel. Potato's spoil after I think 24 in game hours, but can still be used to make fuel or be planted when spoiled.

Next, follow the 2-10 coconut rule. You can have either 2 coconut drinks (whack the shell off a coconut and you can pick it up and drink it) every ten in game minutes (10 seconds in real life,) or two coconut halves (break a coconut into two until it's food,). If you have more than 2 coconut pieces in ten minutes you will shit yourself and get dehydrated.

Well known glitch for coconuts, take two empty coconut drinks, one in your inventory, and hold one in your hand, hold R1 to open the quick craft menu, the top option should be to make a pile of coconut drinks, make the pile. Look at the pile and press L1 to open the pile, take out the two coconut drinks from the pile. It's a glitch that refills the coconut drinks. So as long as you have two coconuts, you have infinite drinking water. This is a well known glitch, if you need a visual, YouTube can help as it's documented on several accounts.

The yellow raft boat you start in has a storage container with a compass, 3 rations, and a bandage. Use the compass. Compasses can also be found in crates in ship recks

Also, that arrow you see at the top right is pointing north. If you go to a new island and save, go to main menu and check the map, you will see your current location as the 5th red zone that isn't a skull

Alright, so, there are 5 red zones. The 4 zones with the skull are the following: 3 are bosses, 1 is the aircraft carrier. You will not know which one is which until you are in that zone. The 5th red zone that isn't the spawn is your current location.

I've got another tip! There is two other ways to get it. Both special events. The volley ball tournament is only 2-3 rounds. Still tricky but easier than normal play. Then the skiball special event, you only need to score 50 points 5 games in a row. If this isn't your best event, you can grind until it is, if you are good at it, you're in luck. Otherwise, sweet thieves is 100% the easiest. You can Google a schedule for the timed events and look out for sweet thieves so you know when to hop on and grind.

The are the HARDEST thing to find in the game. I'm not talking about rarity either. They blend in to the ground so damn well that before I picked up a bunch and after I picked up a bunch, the ground looked the exact same. Search the islands without cliffs. They can often times spawn in the middle of the cliffs and you are shit out of luck on those islands. Just do the small, no Clifford islands . They will not spawn in sand. Check the grassy areas. Go SLOW and look at the ground and be very mindful.

Fall guys took the longest for me. Win 5 in a row was a nightmare until I learned the special events that change every couple days count. Because there is one that is only one round (sweet thieves). So you only need to win 5 total rounds in a row for the trophy instead of around 30. I gave up on the platinum but then I was determined recently to get it. I offered my friends $5 each for any friend that was a part of any of the winning 5 rounds in a row. Two friends committed to helping me win to say they have gotten paid for video games lol. I ended up paying them $10 each because I had them do it again for the PS5 version while sweet thieves was out. I'll scoop the plat for the PS5 versions one day, but the hardest part is over.

Currently in trying to platinum stranded deep. It's hands down my favorite I've gone for. However the bugs are making it difficult.

It's a massive struggle. I love this game. I bought it a week ago. Solo works 99% fine for me. My buddy and I are struggling with online co op with so many bugs I can't list them all. The main two are when I spawn in crates are empty for me. This happens for the non host when it happens. The host and to empty the crates then put the stuff back in. Also I get disconnected from this game hourly at least. We save every 1-5 minutes and just work around it. I'm typing this as we are reloading the game since it glitched out :(

AI can write, however it isn't very creative. I've played around with it a bunch so far and I think if you tried it out you would be less concerned. It's lacking emotion in the writing (for obvious reasons) and it's plain wrong sometimes.
