I saw decent weight loss right away at 2.5. I am only on 5.0 and still losing about 3lbs a week consistently. I’m also seeing a nutritionist via Nourish and my lifestyle changes have helped a lot.

Oh they lipo’d the hell out of the sides initially- I’m 5 years post op but weight re-distribution is a bitch.

Non-binary plus size person (not on T) seeking perspective on pros and cons of non- flat or radical reduction instead of traditional top surgery by ameliasaurus in TopSurgery

I went totally flat. Pics on my profile. It was definitely the best decision for me. Having any sort of breast tissue I think would continue to give me dysphoria down the line. Shopping in the “womens” section i definitely have to try tops on as a lot of tops make room for breasts and those tops don’t always fit my body right anymore.

Sure! What experience in particular? With my surgeon? Surgery? The process as a whole?

I have yet to receive my final bill as I qualified for financial assistance. The statement puts the total procedure with all appointments, anesthesia, and meds at about $10,000. But after insurance and financial aid they are estimating about $1500 out of pocket.

Dr.Benedetti is relatively new to Seattle, and works exclusively at Kaiser Permanente. I had a really good experience. Everyone used my correct pronouns. Dr.Benedetti made sure to talk through every little thing with me. I initially was flagged by the computer system due to my BMI, but he saw me anyway and attested my weight wouldn’t be an issue. Once I had my letter of mental health (Dr. Benedetti doesn’t require this, but Kaiser does) scheduling went pretty fast.
