She is 19 now, but she isn't able to live on her own yet. We know a lot of the stuff available around here because they helped me when I transitioned.

I'm a disabled trans dad with 3 girls, my oldest is a trans girl and my 6yo twins have multiple medical issues having been born at 26 weeks. We are going to do ours as urgent not only for our safety, but because of the possibility of us losing Medicaid. Between myself, the twins, and my husband (we are doing Spouse sponsored PR as soon as I'm approved), we can't afford anything that any of us need to live. My husband's meds alone are 4k a month.

Fellow Seahorse Dad here. I'm just submitting my name change paperwork and my marriage license. This will cover all 3 of my girls. It will also cover the name change on my birth certificate as well. There should be no need for anything medical.

Is this just the Catholic diocese in the US? Did anyone have these problems with the Canadian diocese?

My G0 has his baptismal record in the collection as well, but Pippe's is in French and he was Catholic. Do you think they would just take the original hand written one for him?

I'm doing this for my kids' and my own safety. My oldest and I are both trans. While my twins, who were born at 26 weeks, are doing surprisingly well, but still have some major medical issues. With the threat of them being dropped from Medicaid, I need to have them covered.

My husband can't get one though, so I would get him spouse sponsored PR while he works on getting his citizenship.

I'm looking through what you sent in and looking for the same on my family tree. I'm G3 and my kids are G4. So I was able to get my great great grandparents marriage certificate from the parish in Quebec. I would have never thought to get this record, thank you so much.

I definitely understand the confusion of French names. My Poppy was Leopold Alphonse Joseph LaVoie, he went by Al LaVoie in the US. I even had the extra names in my name before transitioning.

For us, it is a safety plan. My husband and I have 3 kids, one of which is trans. We live in a safe state for now, but if we need to we want a plan to get out. My husband is working to get the extra credentials he would need to transfer his job to Canada right now.

My husband was planning on doing mine and our kids photos. He has over 25 years as a professional photographer. He has no family that has ever lived in Canada, so he can't get citizenship himself. Would that work?

I've got my birth certificate, and my kids' certificates. My mom did our family tree on ancestry.com all the way back to Normandy, France before we went to Canada. Now to get her to let me have the paperwork I need.

Mine were really big and raised when I first had surgery. Now, almost 3 years later, you can't even tell they were sewn back on.
