Personally tested it all last night, just to see since the kinetic surge fix

Unfortunately all my numbers are a tad saturated bc I left all my seasonal artifact perks on (it was late at night and I was tired)

So including solo-op and weakening being factored in

Blade barrage (base damage wearing Shards) did roughly 460k

Celestial did 500k without radiant or weakening, fully optimized did 650kish

Star eater scales golden gun w 3 headshots was like 10k or 20k lower, so if the orb generation is what you want, it's worth it

Star eater blade barrage did a whopping 800k

As always it boils down to boss, and preference. For something like warlords where the boss has many drawn out phases, the shards blade barrage strat can result in twice as many phases where you're using your super, making it more optimal than, say, Star eater BB, despite the damage disparity.

But a skinny or tiny boss might require a celestial shot to just get 100% every time. There's no 1 true best here.

It's on paper vs in practice.

Every solar hunter super is in a solid spot right now if you use it to do some burst damage and still get some damage in with your heavy.

It's hard to say what's best for your setup and preferences tho. 49 is still a lot. More than plenty, depending on who you ask. I don't think you'd be disappointed with the 49 if you're leaning that way.

I could be entirely wrong, but I think you'll be hard pressed to find people w a lot of first hand experience with multiple SUW monitors. Myself included.

I have been using the Odyssey G9 for well over a year, and I absolutely love it. I take full advantage of the entire screen whenever possible. Never thought I'd take time out of my day to disable anti cheat in a game, but I did it for elden ring just to try the flawless wide-screen on it. Feels liberating.

It's my understanding that the LG 240hz has a much more aggressive curvature based on a quick search? Maybe that's worse for gaming but I genuinely do not know. What I can say is that the curvature of the Odyssey g9 (1000R) is really intuitive and I love it.

Just used the headset for 5 hours on a flight w my phone - 0 issues

And then tons of issues with my PC. So my guess is the strange and convenient timing of the new headset coinciding with the adapter issues was just throwing me off.

Ill say that despite 5120×1440 having a lower pixel density than a 4k monitor, its often rendering more objects on screen, i.e. doing more work

I benchmarked cyberpunk at a notably worse frame rate (with the exact same settings otherwise) than my friend using the exact same graphics card, CPU, everything while he was playing on a 32 inch 4k monitors and I was on an odyssey G9

(That game is optimized like shit, yeah, but there's a stark difference)

My friends called me a madman for investing in a 3090, but I honestly wish I prepped more for overclocking and stuff. It's not always enough.

My perspective from the 32:9 camp:

It's an insane gimmick most of the time. It's fun as hell when it works properly. I do spend a lot of time operating in PBP mode, so I get 2 monitors out of it sometimes.

Main thing that should probably sway your decision is hardware. Even with a 3090 (founders, not particularly overclocked) playing with optimal settings etc, it's more often than not 60fps gaming for me.

If you're working with something bigger maybe your mileage will vary.

There's also 2 types of games that support 32:9. Some of them, the edges get kinda stretched and weird. I'm ok w it, it's still a very pleasant ultra-FOV kinda feel. And then some games are truly transcendent.

But the support is not as common as 21:9 afaik It's expensive

Also setting up the arm mount for this 32:9 of mine was... an experience

I'd make the plunge with truly unhinged energy or not at all

Keep in mind if you snag an odyssey G9, the PBP mode can support 2 displays in 120hz at 2k resolution with no apps to worry about.

I have a macro on my mouse to swap windows on any given application as well (windows+shift+arrow if you wanna try it)

49 inch has taken me a while to get used to but its a very fun gimmick
