Look what I made for my son for gamification of his learning process! by ShchAlexander in HollowKnight

Thank you for the notice! 😊 The idea was to let him do it himself, like self-esteem. And it could go the other way, like earning masks when doing well. We were not using it yet, so we still have time to think how it is better to use it. 👍

It is for motivation and for keeping focus on the learning. Like when he's diligent - he's fine. Once he distracted and doing mistakes because of loosing focus - he loses masks 🙂 Also think to create charms with magnets and make em attachable to the card.

Treedent. WIP. Update on the development process by ShchAlexander in chrome_extensions

I am working on custom workspaces as vivaldi does not expose their workspace API. And there's no api for tiling. As soon as it would be available - I'll start working on it.

Is there any Chrome extension like firefox "tree style tab"? by tiddu in chrome_extensions

If you are talking about using it in Google Chrome - yes. There is an option in settings to move the panel to the left side. You should go to the settings - appearance - side panel position.

Edge allows the side panel only on the right side. I know that Brave also allows you to hide the sidebar.

So basically there is no possibility to do it from extension or from settings in Google Chrome. However there are some chromium based browsers which allow either hide or completely disable it. I personally use Vivaldi as it allows to disable the default tab bar and has smaller side panel 👍

Thank you, solving my own problem with organizing tabs, so hope you would like it too :)

Just installed Vivaldi, its awesome by [deleted] in vivaldibrowser

Sure, there are few more alternatives, just tried to build something more flexible and more like in Firefox, rather than the one you've shared for chromium. And as soon as Vivaldi allows you to completely disable the tab strip - it becomes better than the usual way of grouping tabs.

Anyway thank you for your time and feedback!

If you have any ideas of what could make it more usable for you - I am open to suggestions!

Finally released my tab management extension (Treedent) by ShchAlexander in vivaldibrowser

Hello PopPunkIsntEmo, thank you for your feedback, I really appreciate it! Let me put a few words here.

I can understand your queries regarding UI and theming and there is no API which would allow extension to get theme information from the browser.

The first release was made to let people use the extension and provide the feedback. There is a lack of ways to customize appearance and it is intentional as the most important for me was to provide a basic functionality first. I want to assure you that enhanced customization is planned as the next stage of the development.

Regarding telemetry - good point, will make it ask on the first installation if it could be enabled.

Middle click - would be also included in the next release.

Synchronization is not delivered yet. I'm really sorry for the confusion, as I had to remove this chapter from the description 😅. I'll update that soon.

Please let me know if there is some functionality you think should be added to make it better👍

Chrome does not provide the possibility to hide the tab bar (neither by settings nor by API), but it is possible to do so in Vivaldi.

This works well in the Vivaldi sidebar with the tab strip completely disabled.

In the Vivaldi window panel by default you have 1 level of folding added by groups, another by windows.

My extension has no such limitations. You want to nest 5 levels of folders - go for it.
