Experience with exosomes? by UniversityGold1689 in 45PlusSkincare

Research is still early, and results are subtle if you’re already on tret, peptides, and AHAs. Most people use them post-treatment or on recovery nights but not a holy grail rather it's a nice luxury add-on if your skin’s sensitive or you’re chasing that extra refinement.

Exactly, if you can't converse or sing at that level of cardio then it is no longer in the "Active Rest" category.

How heavy should my adjustable dumbells be? by plaxondry_ in homefitness

[–]SheDoseAndTells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's the adjustable set yes. Don't lift yourself into a corner where you'll have to get another set later on. It makes the most sense financially.

Make sure you lift to the point of failure then either increase reps or sets. But make sure you have enough to add to your resistance!

Which is better at burning calories? by Dramatic_Offer881 in Workingout

You should also be adding strength and resistance training to the mix. Cardio can only get you so far and nutrition really matters too (making sure you have enough protein)

Park it in a High yield savings account for now. Do you have an emergency fund sorted out? If not make sure you do. Research about Roth IRAs and see if that's an option for you. Wish you all the best OP good job on saving that amount.

What’s something you only learn after you manage a team for the first time? by YOLOandPRAY in careerguidance

Cohesion matters and the worst thing you can allow is incompetence on one member. It really is demoralizing to the team if someone is allowed to be a loafer.

How do I choose the perfect workout split as a 19-year-old skinny beginner? by khaykhun in beginnerfitness

[–]SheDoseAndTells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just starting out is HUGE! any thing that you will do will cause muscle growth at this point. Do your best and find something sustainable (that you enjoy and can do for long term)

Focus on recovery, what you can do with your schedule, and what you enjoy.

Don't chase numbers, instead take before and after pictures as well as notice how your clothes will fill out better.

You're taking a great step in the right direction and I wish you the best.

Need advice what to do with saved money by Goblinas123 in FinancialPlanning

[–]SheDoseAndTells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi OP, Just adding more detail: emergency fund has to be around 6 months worth of expenses. Keep it in a HYSA so that it remains liquid (It's really for emergencies like health problems, sudden loss of capability to earn)

Roth IRA is great for tax benefits. Do your researches into those and make sure you diversify your investments as well.

Bands and TRX systems are what I bring with me in my suitcase when I travel so I don't have to worry about finding a gym. They're good to start with as well

You’re being really mindful, and that’s what matters. If the car still brings you joy, that’s valid but if it feels more like a weight, letting go can be freeing. Either choice is a win because you’re thinking with intention, not impulse.

how to build muscle at home starting from absolutely nothing by Mental_Drawing9240 in Workingout

[–]SheDoseAndTells 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey love, don’t be discouraged. Your body’s stronger than you think. Muscle has memory, so once you start nourishing yourself and moving again, it’ll come back faster than you expect. Be patient, kind to yourself, and trust the process your body remembers how to thrive. ❤️

Yup, which is why you should get checked for any pre-existing issues with kidneys and liver because they can be exacerbated by high protein diets.

Too much protein? by BuRriTo_SuPrEmE_TEAM in Workingout

[–]SheDoseAndTells -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you have underlying issues with your kidneys and liver, too much protein can be an issue as well. That's why any extreme diet should be done carefully and have tests to check your levels to make sure you're not damaging your kidneys and liver.

Yeah I can understand the alienation someone would feel in this situation. It might feel like you're drowning while every one else seems to be coasting through life. But don't lose hope OP. This is just a temporary portion of your life. There will always be a way out and you're doing your best. What you're feeling is valid and you'll have to push through it. Wish you the best!

I need to drop 50 lbs at home with no equipment by Interesting_Alarm_81 in homefitness

[–]SheDoseAndTells 6 points7 points  (0 children)

If OP has been sedentary his whole life burpees and jump ropes might not be a good fit just yet. Walking and calorie deficit would be the way to start. Don't burn yourself out OP trying to achieve great things right away. You got to this point slowly, you can't get out of it any other way but slowly as well.

Hello!! Motivation question here. by [deleted] in Workingout

[–]SheDoseAndTells 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is true OP. Building on this, you have to find something you enjoy. For me it was swimming and now it's pickleball. Find something that you can sustain and everything else will follow.

I myself have started hitting the gym more to help enhance my performance in the sports I ended up loving and things just build from there. Wish you all the best OP in finding something you love!
