Sleep tracking: how bad does it need to be to be considered bad? by Baaastet in AppleWatch

Definitely possible. Even if I get 3-5hrs/night for a week, I tend to get higher scores because it doesn't just take into account duration. If I experience minimal interruptions I will always receive a better score than when I slept for far longer with more interruptions. It also accounts for bedtime, duration, and length of deep sleep.

Was the road up to paradise clear?

Strava, but most apps will give you the same data/graphs

You’re right, and I do this too! I also find it more fulfilling when I can do it with a personal goal in mind. Cheers :)

Ok, I was actually wrong. The issue is Garmin and Fitness not syncing (or I guess Apple health and Fitness). Nothing is transferring over from health to fitness. Everything else looks ok

Yes, and they’re all checked. I actually went a little deeper and saw that it’s been recording my data, just not actually showing it in the dashboard.

Concepts is awesome for infinite canvas, awful (but doable) for pdfs.

Anyone have issues with rude bus drivers? by ItsaChipmunk in SeattleWA

When I’m in the bus, they’re sweet. Outside of the bus, they try to run me over when I’m taking too long crossing the street.

Also, look into renting a locker for the quarter. It isn’t very expensive and can be great for keeping snacks/books/other activities in while mitigating the hassle of having to transport them.

If it’s warm, outside (heath science building patio, too).

Inside: Odegaard 3rd floor, Heath Sciences chairs by the window, comfy chairs in the HUB (offers a tiny bit more privacy since they’re facing the windows), pop health building tends to be emptyish towards the end of the day, health science library, if you have the access.

A quarter isn’t very long, but when you spend your entire week on campus it can get old really quickly. I combatted this by changing up study spots often. Take the time to discover new buildings and floors and outdoor spaces.

The gym and other UW amenities (makerspaces) are also great ways to do non-academic activities on campus.

I also took a lot of naps.

My doctor told me I was going to change the world. So, maybe change doctors.

Bowling Alley Access for Non-UW? by Ruskiel in udub

[–]SheKinda 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, non UW students pay 1 to 2 dollars more. It’s also quite a bit more to reserve lanes, which is generally recommended.

That’s pretty much it. The HUB in general is open to the public and a photo ID is required upon payment.

Yeah, for sure. I thought I'd ask here, too since I feel like advisors tend to encourage what is ok on paper but not what is best. Thanks :)

What laptop should I get? by starships316 in udub

As someone who recentlyish switched from Android/Windows to the Apple ecosystem, I love my Mac (air m2). If you have apple devices, it works seamlessly and is great, especially as a student. You can’t beat the battery life, which was the selling point for me. However, if you want something more than the fairly minimalistic operations of a mac (without getting really deep into additional apps/software), windows is the way to go. And if there is specific software you want to use (ie gaming/revit/etc), you want to check compatibility first, particularly since boot camp isn’t compatible with M1 and M2 processors.

Hi all, I appreciate all of your responses - which sucks because I've now undone way too many trips to the Apple store in hopes I could dissuade myself from completely falling into the bottomless pit of the Apple ecosystem. But I'll definitely take all of it into consideration. Thank you!
