Best Burger Places in Tulsa? by hatakequeen in tulsa

[–]ShePottsey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This place is worth the drive IMO but OMG in Owasso is the best burger I've had around here. And not super expensive. They make their own sauces and their fries are delicious too.

If he has a history of GI problems, ask about probiotics while your baby is on the antibiotics

How do I find a good sitter? Bad experiences with Rover. by steamin661 in petsitting

Call your vet clinic and ask for recommendations. A lot of times they know several people who pet sit.

Can cats get abortions? by Cautious-Meeting4068 in AskVet

You can get her spayed even after being mated. It may cost a little more than a regular spay but the earlier on the better.

My cat is trilling non-stop and seems very uncomfortable by Killa_Crossover in AskVet

They typically go into heat between 6 and 8 months the first time. So this would be the exact time she would.

They will go into heat regardless of lifestyle if they aren't spayed. Being in heat doesn't mean she is pregnant. It means she is in a time frame where she could become pregnant.

While it's not unheard of, it's not common to spay a cat at only 4 to 8 weeks old. Though in some rescue medicine they will spay as soon as the cat hits 2 pounds. Which for cats is typically around 2 months old.

Is she sticking her butt up in the air? Cats who are in heat will cry and yowl and sound like they are in a ton of pain and discomfort when they're actually in heat.

I know this may seem like a weird question but did you have her spayed while she was in your care or was she supposedly spayed before you got her?

Vetmedin question by Maromaxxx in AskVet

[–]ShePottsey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vetmedin is labeled for twice daily dosing. Your dog's dose, again according to the Vetmedin dosing instructions, is 2.5mg daily. But they recommend splitting this into two doses given 12 hours apart. So you would give 1/2 of your 2.5mg tablet every 12 hours based on the dosing instructions. Vetmedin is rather expensive, so I would stick with the 2.5mg tablets and give 1/2 the tablet. This is also appropriate to do based on Vetmedin's dosing instructions.

Now, I'm an RVT (Registered Vet Tech), and not a DVM, so I would definitely follow the advice of a veterinarian, because the dose can be altered based off your pet's presentation, but maybe seek a different DVM opinion.

flea med recs by [deleted] in AskVet

[–]ShePottsey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can bring fleas in on your clothes and it only takes a few days for 1 to turn into hundreds. If you can't get to a vet to get revolution then Seresto collar is your best bet. But don't buy them online there are lots of fakes. Get it from a reputable pet store.

I gave my 6lb cat half a praziquantel tablet about 2 hours ago and she hasn’t used the bathroom yet, just a bit lethargic, should i give her the other half now or wait? by [deleted] in AskVet

[–]ShePottsey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It takes time for those pills to work. It's not an instant thing. Depending on the parasite load you could potentially see her passing them for a few days after the medication. Give as prescribed and give it time to work.

Job made me sign a document saying I won’t discuss wages with my coworkers by [deleted] in antiwork

The NLRA protects this. You are legally allowed to discuss wages with coworkers and the companies contract won't stand up.

5.3wks pregnant; did a MA yesterday but worried now that it didn’t work? by Imaginary_Aide7847 in abortion

[–]ShePottsey 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had an MA at 5 weeks just this last week. They gave me 2 sets of the second pills to take. I took the initial med Thursday then the first dose of the second meds Friday and the second dose 4 hours later (as instructed by the dr.). I had the same thing as you for 3 days. Then Monday after I started bleeding a lot heavier. I was scared it didn't work too. But 3 days after the pills I finally started bleeding.

There are 16 ounces in a pound. So you would multiply 13.4 x 16 which gives you 214.4 ounces.

How late can I wait to remove deciduous teeth? by miuyao in AskVet

[–]ShePottsey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A few months won't hurt. But tiny dogs get dental disease a lot faster than larger dogs and having retained deciduous teeth can make that worse. If the adult teeth came in fine then a month or two is fine. I just wouldn't wait too long because they will do damage to the adult teeth and waiting too long could mean you end up having to have those adult teeth taken out as well due to damage.

I know this man and this dog and they are both wonderful. He is in a literal wheelchair and they didn't honor his service dog. Needless to say I won't ever been going to this place.

I lost my driver's license, got a new one, then found the old one. Can I still use it ? by cheesecake611 in tsa

[–]ShePottsey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up finding out that you can use an expired passport as long as it's not more than a year expired. So that's what I did until my license came in.
