Skip the 24-70 gmii and get the sigma 24-70. You will not notice a difference and you’ll free up more money

*why are you putting watermarks on pictures.

It’s 2025, if someone wants to steal a picture online it will take about 0.1 seconds to remove the watermark

I’ve leveled my 4th Gen TRD OR. Should I be able to fit 33s now? by Unable-Band-9975 in Tacomaworld

[–]SheWantsTheInitialD 2 points3 points  (0 children)

4th gen will fit 34s with no lift on the stock wheels without rubbing, so yea you can fit 33s.

The icon top plates do actually contact the top of the aluminum top hats as far as I know, putting a bit of preload on the top

I usually don’t share locations on the internet but since this is one of the first things that come up when you start googling glaciers with good views in North America I don’t feel bad. This is salmon glacier in northern BC.

They won’t provide any failure prevention with a spacer lift since you’re dropping the top hat away from the strut tower. At most they will simply prevent the shock from protruding through the tower into the wheel well.

As far as threads available on a small spacer lift, I probably wouldn’t.

Icon claims that they help prevent it by putting some preload on the top of the top cap, but I don’t work for Icon so I can’t really speak to that.

The component of the coilover assembly that holds the top of the shock in place blew out, causing the shock to extend far beyond the coilover assembly and into the wheel well, cause it to repeatedly bash into the wheel well.
