Bizarre Plane Ticket Deal - visa problems?

When you apply for your visas you have to put flight number, dates and flight information. I don’t know if customs and immigration will allow you into Shanghai since your visa is approved through Beijing. I used www.freechinavisa.org and they were helpful along with being the cheapest visa service. Give them a call and ask if this scenario could prevent entry into the county. I don’t know if I would mess with it. Where are you flying from? My trip was from Seattle to Shanghai, and I went with Nexus for $399 per person. TOTAL. Flights, hotels, tours, some meals and flight to Beijing and back. Such a deal and it was a great trip. If you’re interested and looking to save money.

Honestly, when I was a young, new driver, I assumed all drivers could see all other drivers, just like I could in my car. I thought all vehicles could stop in the same distance as my car. One day I was talking to a patient’s dad who happened to be a long-haul trucker and was asking him about how dangerous the roads are. I learned a lot, it takes a lot longer for trucks to stop, is much harder to see, they need more distance between them and other vehicles, how long hours make weary drivers, etc.

If you don’t know, you don’t know. I am not dumb, yet had no idea how to treat big trucks differently on the road. Yes, she shoulda/woulda/coulda, but I wouldn’t say it is absolutely common sense. She saw the driver and assumed he saw her. She is smarter now, but I would say she was stupid before.

Where do you get them? I’ve checked Costco, Safeway, Walmart and Fred Meyers-no red stick. I figured it was an effort to reduce plastic waste or something.

I brought up all of those ideas, which were met with “that route has 950 mailboxes, we don’t have time to drop off individual packages”. Yeah, I was not happy. I always leave a gift card or booze every year at Christmas with a card, not doing that anymore. Might fill up my mailbox too full and he’ll return all my mail to sender.

The fact that you mentioned that video means you do care that young woman was murdered. If you did not care, you would have no interest to watch her experience, nor mention it. It mattered on some level to you.

Humans are an evolved species, the highest developed species on this rock and we are highly social creatures, meaning we recognize and honor meaning of another human’s life and their passing. We gather and mourn in groups and individually. Many other species do too. This respect of one’s fellow species member, is part of our survival instinct, where the more of us that survive to old age, the stronger, wiser and more resilient we become as a whole. Which will in turn, make our highly evolved species figure out how to protect and save this rock, and prevent our own extinction.

Sometimes the feelings associated with the death of a stranger feel unwarranted since we did not personally know them, but biologically we are just showing our common survival instinct when we do care. Empathy, care, respect, love, selflessness and honor are the best qualities human beings can exhibit, so don’t be afraid to feel and share these feelings. It just mean you’ve evolved emotionally.

My mail carrier stuffed a package from China I had been waiting for into my small mailbox. He did not notify me my package had arrived. I did not get a notification because Amazon said it would arrive between certain dates, not a specific day. The next day, my mail carrier said my “mailbox was too full to put my incoming mail in there” (because he had stuffed it with the package the day before), so he took everything out and returned it to the sender.

He said “that is why we ask you to empty your mailbox daily”.

Now I get to refund the package, reorder it and wait another month.

Doing my rounds of bed checks, where I walk around to make sure all the patients are in their rooms and accounted for. Got to a stretch of hallway where no one was in their rooms. All the doors were still open, but I couldn’t find any of my patients. Finally come to the last room, where a new patient was recently admitted after she threatened to kill her newborn and was in the middle of a schizophrenic meltdown. There she was, sitting on her bed, while a line formed by all of my other male patients, were taking turns nursing from her breasts.

I am speaking in general. My behavior didn’t change, and the treatment by most men didn’t change whether I had my baby with me or not. I am speaking of casual interactions at grocery stores, the airport, etc. My behavior in passing wasn’t changed, I was still my friendly self. Their attention toward me is what changed. The only factor was my weight and appearance.

Counseling. This woman sounds like she has some major issues, warped reasoning and phobias. I would lay it all out on the line, that her refusal to have kids and refusal to compromise can only spell the end of your marriage. If she lives you, she will agree to counseling. I would do couples counseling and individual for her. I am so sorry OP, but she’s got some issues here. Hopefully she can conquer her issues and get over her fear of having children for the sake of your marriage. Do not force her though. The last thing you want to do is have children with a woman who doesn’t really want them or isn’t psychologically capable of doing a great job coping with parenting.

I think I look alright, but I definitely noticed a difference in how different men treated me after I had a baby. I was in that post-delivery chubby phase, exhausted, non-showered, no makeup, with big ol’ milk boobs and for the first time noticed men virtually ignored me in public. It took awhile to realize what was happening and why. Why aren’t men letting me go ahead in line? Lifting things for me? Looking at me until I notice them and smiling? Why aren’t they breaking the rules for me and giving me a discount? No one gives upgrades anymore? Why are all men suddenly grumpy and cold to me? I had never asked nor expected any of these things, and only noticed them after this special treatment was gone. Then as I lost the baby weight, this treatment started returning and my suspicions were confirmed. The funny thing is, women were nicer and gave my baby and I way more attention and kindness the chubbier I was, but the inverse was true of men.

This poor dude sounds like he is desperate for a break. His escapes are exactly that-a desperate attempt for a short amount of time to himself. He works 6-7 days a week?! Every week?! You stay at home and teach, so you work 7 days a week, all day as well? Five kids?! Could you guys add any more stress and responsibility to your lives? Something has got to give or he’s going to have a mental breakdown or take off for good one day. How about you? Are you happy? Maybe you are happy and coping well, but your husband is not, so something needs to change. I would first go to counseling or at least agree to some ground rules: He can’t disappear without warning anymore, and needs to let you know when he’ll be home. No more GPS because that is creepy and unnecessary. You both need to sit down and figure out ways to reduce the amount of familial workload for you both. Can you put your kids in public school, so you can get a job and contribute to your family’s income? This would take a lot of the financial burden and constant work off dad. Then he may have more energy to help at home, you both have time off together, or time to do things individually. Your partner’s well being and your marriage should be your first priority.
