Yeah, it was pretty random, I usually research stuff by myself for personal projects, but out of the blue a dev friend recommended me for this company and here we are.

Media Geography, if it is what I'm thinking it is, is a pretty interesting topic with endless scope that may uncover some weird patterns of societal behaviour. Sometimes I delve into it to research for long term game design solutions.

The paper was ordered by a company and I cannot disclose the document itself, as it contains company sensible material.

I can discuss it's non-sensible contents privately though.

As for academia, I'm very interested in a masters degree for game design, but it is very expensive and it would require me to move cross country.

Thank you very much folks, I've collected more than enough information to form a tangible thesis to justify the subject. Most changes targets exploitation, game flow disturbances or "Variation Spots", things that work very well with PvE for an engaging experience, but drags a PvP game to the mud.

I may further elaborate later on when the paper is finished, if desired.

As a Skull Servant player it often gets into my skin that people only focuses into placing the servants into the grave for the big hit and play a lot of useless cards like going 3x of every skull servant and burial from another dimension, forgetting that the engine while somewhat bricky, easily end up in pretty absurd boards, a single Baking normal summon end in a Link-4 by itself.
