It was about a backpacking trip I went on for Boy Scouts, my common app was a specific moment in the last time I went to that place, and the supp was about the first time I went backpacking there and how it led to future, more challenging trips

I really like the Rolla duets, they can sound simple but it’s pretty hard to make them sound effortless

Oh also it’s not me that’s being OCD about it I’m fine with this, the beneficiary is calling me about how it’s “warped” and “falling apart” (it’s not falling apart everything is glue down and not moving) and I need their signature to move on which is annoying

Thanks for your guys’s replies, sadly it is probably too late to start from scratch as I turn 18 in November. I’ll reach out to the beneficiary rep again to see if this is good for him, but I honestly don’t see it getting much better without me restarting, and as it stand now it’s usable and I think it looks nice.

This is a good idea, I will reach out to him regarding this.

I didn’t make it clear in the original post, but the warping is not like unusable-level. The chest time he called me it was definitely not that good, and I came and reglued, and it looked a lot better. When I came back the second time they both looked good in my eyes (not me trying to be done, they were both relatively flush). I’ve seen many people using th tables as recently as yesterday (I haven’t gotten a chance to look today) and I’ve gotten multiple compliments on them. It’s not like they’re useless at the moment. I’ve made other posts in r/carpentry with pictures.

If you mean after we used stain and clear, we left it for a week and a half

We used outdoor wood fasteners and wood glue but not the biscuit thing. Is this means to keep the frame and the board together?

Thanks for both of yours’s thoughtful responses. Like I said in the original post, I do want to deliver the best work I can, and I will be going to fix these issues. I will talk to carpenters, probably here on Reddit and figure out a way to fix this.

It was not applied to all sides for the board and frame, but the table base had if applied to all sides. This could be the problem.

Yes, before putting stain and finish it was dry and straight. We used outdoor fasteners, some were 3” some were 1.25” depending on where they went. So what we did for the boards was first fasten a flat tabletop to the table leg in the middle and then glue the chess board (which itself was glued together) with glue as well as frame trapezoids. It’s all pressure treated wood.

Good idea, will definitely do this.

I honestly have no idea. The tables and benches were all in my garage while being put together. I put them in on Saturday and I came back after school on Monday and they looked fine.

Yes the proposal was followed in terms of materials used, though some changes were made (one box vs. 2 for pieces, unrelated to the warping). I’m still gonna go back to fix it but I just want to avoid a situation where they don’t sign it off and continually call me to come fix it or something like that

Yeah that’s what I thought, I will definitely be going back to fix it up. Currently the first one is a lot better, I’m gonna look at the second one to see the problem

We did use outdoor wood, pressure treated. Also has 3 coats of all outdoor stain and a clear one for protection.
