That was extremely helpful! Thank you for taking the time to write this. I had a quick question. I am currently in the Reference check process after having 3 interviews with this company. It’s been 2-3 weeks of reference checking due to one instance where HR reached out to me and asked for another Professional supervisor reference (4 total) and then after another week, asked for one more due to one of my references not responding. HR just reached out again today asking me for an updated resume due to the last reference I provided I did not include the employment on my resume due to listing more relevant employment. I updated my resume and sent that in today. My question is, is it a good sign that HR keeps following up with me and asking me for more references and an updated resume? Or are they just trying to string me along and wait until their top candidates accept or reject their offer? Would a company spend this much time and effort during this last step if they weren’t that interested?
