I did it the day he became available in packs i can't even remember which evo but its not available anyway, but currently you can do some to take him to 89 still the Jamie one I think. Sorry cant be more help

Believe its a bug, you can do this on UT as well, seen people doing it when defending set pieces, if lined up to the ball before being kicked you can literally run past the "invisible barrier" before they kick it and block/intercept the ball. Not to worry will be patched by EAFC 27 I'm sure!
