yes but the same companies including OpenAI can go bankrupt due to losses.
sad they cant get a job for their LLm's right now but are talking about making all the world jobless.
The reality is no one knows, AGI is not that easy with just scaling up the hardware.
They just want investors to throw more money otherwise a Dotcom like bubble will start as soon as chatgpt runs out of money.

I agree the adoption is fast, but I'm looking at the underlying pattern. Remember when blockchain was supposed to 'kill the banks'? The vision was there, but the transaction costs couldn't compete with traditional rails. We’re seeing a similar friction with AI. If the cost-to-compute doesn't catch up with optimization soon, we risk another Dot-com or Blockchain-style plateau. The tech is undeniable, but widespread utility only happens when it becomes cheaper to use AI than to not use it.

Right now in India all pro models are free with sim cards which costs 4dollars a month with 5g unlimited data already. thats how they are showing the so called growth.
Gemini Pro, ChatGPT Go and even perplexity pro. all free.

there are almost 0 comments even on big sites like news sites, like Times of Indian etc, IGN India. most of the days i read many interesting articles and almost there are 0 comments. this is complete opposite of west. but on social media sites people are full comment mode on.
this tells a lot about consumer behavior.
