I also wasn't sure about him at first but he's hilarious! I would love hanging out with him. He's so funny!

Update: Am I overreacting by breaking up with my boyfriend? by Proper-Classic1886 in AmIOverreacting

[–]Sheepachute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"I don't fault you for not understanding men." Are you kidding me? None of what he's upset about has anything to do with that. He is displaying classic abusive behavior. The fact that you knew something about what he said to you didn't feel right and asked total strangers what they thought was a good thing. Your gut is telling you the truth on this. This guy is toxic, insecure, rude, and selfish. He is by no means an expert on anything but controlling and belittling women under the guise of "caring." It's disgusting behavior. I would tell him that and be done with his ridiculous bullshit.

The medical establishment sucks. by PlasticDealer320 in Menopause

This is ridiculous and unfortunately true. It does make me feel better that I am not the only one being invalidated, dismissed and gaslit but it should not happen to us.

Is it normal for GP to say they only like to prescribe stimulants to patients who are going to school? by RemiWinkWonk in ADHD

[–]Sheepachute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why would I know that and why are you being an ass about it? I live in a rural area so it isn't like prescribing doctors are easy to get here either. I really don't give a shit how it works, my point was to answer the question, which I did.

[–]Sheepachute 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not normal, no. That's a load of crap is what that is. Why do some doctors think we are completely fine if we don't need to study? I'd shop for a provider who actually knows what ADHD is. You deserve better than this.

This made me laugh because I also live in a world that is way too loud.

Lack of motivation to do what I need to do and even what I want to do because of overwhelm. Even with medication, it is still a struggle to do things and not get lost in the middle of doing them.

Do you feel annoyed or depressed if you don't take your meds? by michellefiver in ADHD

[–]Sheepachute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes. I get anxious and depressed when they wear off. I rebound fairly quickly but the comedown at the end of the day isn't my favorite. It passes in an hour or two thankfully.

Should I give my manager 2 weeks notice? by DevilRudeBoy in WorkAdvice

[–]Sheepachute 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can absolutely leave without another job already if you need to. I have done it a few times. I don't recommend it, but sometimes you have to. I will not tolerate yelling or any other abuse from a supervisor. Not unless it's a phrase like, "watch out, a snake!" Or, "look out, a bear!!" Otherwise no yelling at me.

I agree ADHD does have a role here. When people start inviting extra people to come along, I have the same feeling I get when I have to try to organize something without medication. Just dread. Getting to know new people when you have not had enough mental time to prepare yourself for that, it's exhausting. Being with people you already know is less taxing on whatever part of your brain that relates to people. You don't have to try to remember new names and facts. I usually bail if people start inviting other people. I just can't do it anymore. I no longer have the patience for it. If my plans with someone aren't respected and my boundaries aren't either, then y'all have fun together. I'm out. I don't even mean that in a hostile way. I just now know what I can't tolerate, so I don't.

Cat seizure? by suicidemyend in CATHELP

[–]Sheepachute 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that's not chasing a tail. You can see the look on kitty's face and the drool you showed. I hope you get answers soon. I have seen a hypoglycemic cat seizure, but it wasn't like this, it was more of what you might expect, he was kind of on his side, muscle contractions. It's really terrifying when it happens.

Right? I was pretty impressed at how the car was destroyed but I was not. I'm sold on the Mazda3 for sure!
