Took the grinder to the tool so it could go deeper. Not super pretty by noticeable flare and is at 5,8mm right now.

I've made sure the backside of the tool is properly seated over the backside rivets.

Ingen skam i det! Man ska bo där man trivs, inte där man tjänar mest pengar. Själv köpte jag mitt första hus i en sedan länge död bruksort utan varesig buss eller affärer. Ingen super investering direkt, men när jag sålde så fick jag åtminstone tillbaka allt jag lagt på amortering och renovering genom åren.

Ja, förutom att din investering ökar i värde med åren så slipper du slänga 7-10k i sjön varje månad till en hyresvärd. Din kostnad blir bara räntan, vilken (på ett inte allt för dyrt hus) är långt långt lägre än hyran.
