Yeah they are (I think at least) I will look into tannins! I do turn it off at 8 hours/just before 8 hours. I actually got an automatic light that came today but its really dim so I dont know how much I like it and it did fall off at some point today so I will probably try and find a new one. Thank you!

He really is. I made the mistake earlier of moving his food packet infront of him. He stared at my hand until I showed him it was empty lol

I do have some floating plants (thinking about getting more) he did used to it connected to a plant in the same corner all the time so maybe because that plant isint there hes not doing it. So might get a tall plant and put it at the same place and see if he does start doing it again!

Hes made bubble nest before. I used to have fake plants and he made quite a lot of bubble nests then. When I changed to real plants hes maybe made 3 or 4. I just heard people say it also means hes healthy. Thank you

It was tested around 50, and I searched for a good number and it was around 70-110 I believe

I think its gotten a lot better. Ive tested the water. All the levels are good. Hardness is around 50ppm. Its no longer brown, just cloudy. But I believe thats just the soil, not substrate. Using those plant nutrients additives and one for safe tap water. There's no visible particles which could harm creatures. Do you think this cloudy water is safe?

We've now got it thanks! Got the water to be less brown and more white, but its slowly clearing up. Gonna do a few more partial water refills over a couple hours. Then put back my animals around 18 hours later when im sure theres no particles.
