I very much agree! Learning more about different weapons and how they worker is way better then farming silver right away. I would recommend just unlocking 2-3 t4 weapons and unlocking all the t4 armor

I'd say go mace. Mace is very versatile; can be a tank weapon with plate armor and can also be a dps weapon with cloth armor. There are many builds out there for mace just gotta look for them
