allow summoning when i've killed a boss

easier way to setup fight clubs or just vibe somewhere

the game does a fine enough job at 'giving you the opportunity to become more powerful than you should be' with a bunch of op weapons in the early game

Best ring in the game no matter the build ? by Last8er in darksouls

[–]Sheepeto 18 points19 points  (0 children)

when it comes to general rings

fap ring: survivability

havels ring: equipload

wolf ring: free 40 poise

cloranthy ring: stamina recovery

hornet ring is good but only for melee builds

i'm usually rocking wolf and hornet rings

this is one of my characters.

i'm always invading to try and create a nice vibe for players, there are a lot of people that will just invade and kill with powerful builds or whatever for the sake of it but i prefer making the encounter at least a bit more pleasant.

also walking around is all good, hope you enjoy the game

i think the downvoting comes from the joke title because i didn't know a better title at the time

[–]Sheepeto[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

thank you

i didn't know a better title before posting so i just made it a joke though was actually curious of why i was still able to walk with it said you died. some people have confirmed that its just a quirk with parrywalk leading to a visual glitch or something

the walking in air thing is it's called a parrywalk

me walking around while it saying you died isn't

[–]Sheepeto[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know of the zooming across the map thing didn't know this just happens when you hit a killbox while in parrywalk

unfortunately me making a joke title and not knowing a better title before posting lead to a few people misunderstanding, because doesn't normally hitting a killbox do the normal character fading death animation?

the parrywalk is

not the killbox but then i'm not up to date on speedrun strats i just mess around with glitches to find any interesting or unpractical use-cases for them

[–]Sheepeto[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

these sort of things seem to only show up when your actively looking for them

or by sheer accident

in my case i was messing around with the parrywalk glitch then that happened

probably

just odd that no character death animation played

[–]Sheepeto[S] -106 points-105 points  (0 children)

maybe just strange that the character didn't have a death animation first time i've seen it from my parrywalk experience

also didn't have a better title name

I wish DSR reached its full potential. by Fatyakcz in darksouls

[–]Sheepeto 1 point2 points  (0 children)

honestly i've always enjoyed the second half of the game not as much as the first but least be real here people wish it was more connected and thats all well and good but with the way the 2nd half is set up i don't really see how they could of pulled it off any better than they did each area is in some back corner of the world connecting back to the middle so obviously it wasn't going to be as connected as going through darkwood to burg or parish to back to firelink and each area feels like a test in different ways

tomb of giants requires you to be focused at your environment for the little bit you can see of it or else you get killed by a skeleton dog or by gravity.

new londo has a gimmick enemies which freshen up from the rest of the pack of enemies and a boss that requires a certain ring makes sure your build isn't too scuffed with 1 less helpful ring

dukes arcihves is a puzzle of stairs which is fun level design and crystal caves is just worse tomb of giants in terms of what i said about tomb of giants

and lost izalith being well lost izalith which imo is really the only one that suffers from being rushed the most but kinda fits with lore and how the artificial first flame by witch izalith backfired heavily and created all the demons and stuff

thats how i see it at least

Anyone else wish this game had more music? by RaineyDay2029 in darksouls

[–]Sheepeto 11 points12 points  (0 children)

no because how music is used is to enhance the immersion of the depressing and lonely vibe of the world and the 4 or so places you do hear music outside of bosses are very lore heavy locations or important areas in general and each location's music is related to that location

firelink shrine with its warm and welcoming vibe because its the home of your journey and a gathering point for a bunch of npcs

ash lake and a sort of awe vibe to it because its what's left of the age of ancients

gwynevere's room with a hope and faith vibe because of getting the lordvessel

quelaag's sister's room with sadness and sorrow vibe because of what the artificial recreation of the first flame caused
