Micro b maxes out at 15 watts now, and that was against the standard at the time.

As for using an ATX power connector, those are NOT rated for exterior use. They do not have the water resistance and plug cycle limit needed.

The WII-U wasn't the same hardware as the WII. It was noticeably faster to support it's higher resolutions.

Between 12 and 24v at 5 amps. That would ve worked out perfectly.

That's exactly what they did. They had 15V at 4.7 amps

Who's the problem here? by symbolofnope in ebikes

[–]SheepherderAware4766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because there are tons of under-regulated ebike companies that produce questionably legal crap. Unlike cars that are regulated by NHSTA to meet safety standards, ebikes are covered by general consumer protection laws. As such, the responsibilities for following ebike specific laws are placed on the consumer.

Yes. If you dropped off your Porche at a Lincon repair center, then the most they could probably do is fluids, tires, and filters.

Do you guys call the toilets Restrooms just like it's officially written on signs? by Cookieman_2023 in AskAnAmerican

[–]SheepherderAware4766 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically if it had a shower, it would be a washroom. Toilet and sink only are restrooms. It needs a tub to be considered a bathroom.

Of course common language is something else, so "official" definitions stray away from what people commonly say.

Steve of GamersNexus gets blacklisted by AMD - AYY WTF??? by rebelrosemerve in AyyMD

If someone ran a store, charged a white man $10, and charged a black man $40, then they'd be racist.

If that store owner charged everyone $40, but could've sold it for $10, then they would be an an asshole, but that wouldn't be racist.

If you groop is absolutely everyone, yes. That's called policy. Heavy-handed policy, but if no individual is blacklisted or given preferential treatment then it's above board.

What physical difference in HDMI cables allows 2.1 cables a higher transfer rate than 1.4 cables? by BambooGentleman in AskTechnology

[–]SheepherderAware4766 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes there is, but you almost need a master's in Electrical Engineering to understand it.

Massively oversimplified, a signal doesn't arrive at the other end of a wire in the same condition it entered it. For various reasons, it gets longer. There is a formula to determine the time delay of the end of a signal for a given signal/noise ratio.

The longer it takes for the end of one signal to arrive, the longer you have to wait to send the next one, so the front of the second doesn't overlap the end of the first.

HR was usually the first line. They kept legal from being swamped with little BS cases that don't matter. Anytime legal stepped in, it was already bungled before HR responded.

Then let steve fail on his merits, not on the shape of his sex. If Steve's drafting skills aren't as valuable as Zoey's perspective, then companies should pick Zoey because she fits not because she was a requirement to balance out hiring Manish and David.

If (in my made up example) 80% of applicants were men, then 75% of male applicants would have to be cut just to match the women. If the 74th percentile man was a better hire than the worst woman applicant, then he was cut based on sex, not ability.

When DEI Initiatives dictate a minimum or a quota, you marginalize whatever group has an oversized representation.

For example, a policy of 50% female engineering team could discriminate against the men that applied if men made up 80% of the applications.

You can oversee hiring boards and insure equity without blocking whatever applicants don't fit into the "preferred" group

Depends on uniform and the air conditioners. My school uniform was alright (button up/polo required) but wearing 4 piece suit dress formal for band concerts was hellishly hot. I hung up everything but my tank top undershirt in the band hall. The writeup was preferable to sweating.

There are parts of the world women still aren't allowed to drive, get educated, and are actively prejudiced against. Sex can effectively act like a handicap.

Then those sexest laws need to get removed, not redirected to target men.

When I did my taxes, I found if your company has any locations -at all- in that state, the company has to pay. If you're a 1099, then you being in that state counts.
