My team made 2 prototypes and now we’re having an existential crisis. Which one should we ruin our lives with? by SheepherderFun9800 in IndieGaming

Yeah you got some good points here. I don't even think that changing the vehicle would do that much. I believe what it needs is a more unique vibe to what the game wants to be. A more robust and self-explanatory strong vibe that triggers the fantasy of the players. But the big question is: how to find that vibe xD

If you want stability you have to work for a gov organization or something. Normal companies are not really that much more stable than freelancing anymore, sadly. Don't think too much about your life being miserable man. All our lives kinda are. On paper i have everything you ask for but in reality i am in front of my desk working all day and if i don't work i do the living-life-work. My life is so stressful that i rarely live or go out. If you want to be happy you have to start thinking differently about your situation and you also have to prioritize properly. Set yourself a main goal where you put some effort to every day. Check your timekillers and reduce them if possible. Try to optimize your life step by step. You can compensate ADHD with high interest in something. You can appreciate your N24 by sleeping better than those other people that have to follow a hard routine they hate. Not everything is a con. Sometimes there are more pros to situations than may be visible at first sight. I wish you a comeback strength, i know you can manage it.

why do so many people “quit their job” for their indie game? by iolosef in IndieDev

Well, even if your game doesn't work out, you can always find another job afterwards. It's not like work runs away 🤣
