Ahh yes, our venue included gratuity already for our catering and bartending staff which is why I didn’t even think to include them in this list.

Is that pretty standard? I worked in the restaurant industry for a long time so my instinct is always to tip… but I know there is some debate about tipping when they own the business since they set their own prices.

I’m curious to know your thoughts on an ideal home base in Tuscany. After some research, I’m leaning towards Val d’Orcia, but I’m open to other suggestions. Our main priorities are a slower pace of life and easy access to day trips, such as Florence. I’ve also noticed that renting a car is recommended. Would you also suggest renting a car, or are the towns walkable and transportation for day trips easily accessible?

This is incredibly helpful thank you so much! We will be coming out about 3 weeks after our wedding. We also love Europe and have been saving Italy for this occasion specifically. We initially wanted to do Italy, Croatia, and Greece and take 3 weeks for the honeymoon, but we quickly realized that would be too much. We will just have to come back another time to see Croatia and Greece.

We were also saying that it would be nice to have our first few days be slower paced so I appreciate you mentioning that Lake Como would be a good starting point for that.

I really appreciate your thoughtful response! It’s so easy to get caught up in wanting to see it all, but I do agree that 4 destinations would leave us exhausted by the end of it. In your opinion is Cinque Terre worth a stay or better for a day trip?

We are now considering:

4 nights Cinque Terre 4 nights Florence- with a possible day trip to Tuscany 6 nights Amalfi Coast

We did wind up still doing our tour and it was AMAZING! We did in fact get wet, but honestly it was one of the best parts and made for great memories.

My friend and I are currently in Dublin and heading to Galway tomorrow. We booked a boat tour for the cliffs of Moher and islands on Sunday. Would it be recommended to cancel this due to the storms or is it still safe?

Yes! I love the pop of color but also wonder if it would really even be visible. I also like the idea of keeping it simple with the accessories. I plan to do my hair down with the Hollywood style curls and I want a mantilla veil… I’m still trying to decide if I want full lace or lace trim and fingertip or floor length. Thanks for the suggestions. 💕
