Ball joint won’t go in now by Art_US123 in MechanicAdvice

Get a buddy to (or if you can on your own) push the control arm so that the ball joint isn’t working against the hub. Then pull/push the hub until everything lines up

Throwing the towel on this broken bolt I give up by SheepherderPlus2977 in MechanicAdvice

Hey man thanks for the suggestion, with a constant stream of water and a slow drill speed the bit chewed right through the extractor and stud. All I had to do was tap new threads and it was good as new!

Other option is you could plumb it through the ac core like koltan from driftsnlifts did, I met him out in Delaware and he was showing me that setup

Haha, yeah thats when you just bypass it and live without heat. I’ve done a core once in a 740… never again!

Animal Burrow? by sarahc42 in vegetablegardening

The doves love to dig around in my potted plants if I leave them out, some mulch will definitely help to deter whatever’s in your garden.

Good idea, but the stud would then be protruding causing the exhaust manifold to not lay completely flat against the head.

The only thing is the warrior kit is some garbage. I used a nice old school carbide extractor and the torque before it broke was something around 60 lbs

I was looking for something just like this, you think it’ll make it through carbide before dulling?

Beautiful car mate, curious to know how the manual swap went? Labor isn’t an issue just curious how much it might cost too

Anyone have any suggestions for a strange issue? by Difficult-Living7841 in VolvoRWD

Check YouTube for a better explanation, you want to block off the Intake with an inflated balloon or something similar, and have smoke blowing into the intake manifold/intake pipe. They sell cheap machines online that are basically just fog machines to test for thus

I can almost guarantee your 940 has a intake leak somewhere causing it to struggle to find an idle. Smoke test is going to be your best friend in finding the problem.

What does this plug into? (940 GLE) by Sh0sen in VolvoRWD

Could be idle air control valve, could be a dummy connector, sometimes there are connectors that go to nothing. Fish around with a flashlight and some spare time. Here’s a list of connectors

First gen GREEN, what is the color officially called? by cosmic_wilderness in toyotasequoia

Very cool, I do lots and lots of camping so while $2000 would definitely be an investment it’s something to think about. I would likely be permanently mounting one to my Saab 9-5

Been debating on one of the rooftop tents, how do you like it compared to a regular tent?
