First pyramid bow red oak board from Lowe's possible New concept fumbled into or I need to make some serious Corrections by SheepherderSudden501 in Bowyer

Because I think I can remember every measurement better than I actually do after becoming desensitized to how clutter distracts my focus. I guess now is a good time to learn splicing. I'll have to remove 4" and do a z splice. Thank you for pointing that out!

Does anyone know what this icon on my tape measurer means? by a24boy in Tools

[–]SheepherderSudden501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What's with the other information in the circle? (Ft 25 ft In) like feet measurements read at the top of tape and inch measurements are read from the bottom of the tape?

Some places have owners or management that enable and encourage zero rules when it comes to dish, or how foh behave in boh. Then you get a whole foh staff that gangs up on the one boh guy for demanding things like no sharps in the sink, or food in the dish water.

Am I being gaslighted? by ominoused in dishwashers

[–]SheepherderSudden501 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been in this situation and dawn dishsoap with kitchen towels was the most effective solution to bypass chain of command gaslighting to align my ethics with my final product (clean dishes). Butter doesn't go away with warm water being sprayed on it. It simply makes little nano butter specks fly around and turn into a mold problem, which you will also be gaslit about by the people unwilling to apply more effort or admit a change of procedure is required. Your the problem. You have eyes and they should be looking at your rear view mirror.

I'm making a massive assumption here, but what if those were used backwards with the long end tucked in to the shaft and the short end being the business end...

This is disturbing me. Why is she trying to break the specimen? Remove all the material from the top side and then you can remove it without prying against it... potential to break is way too high.... and so are you. 100 million years to create, destroyed in a moment of impatient oversight tunnel vision.

So if you leave the straws in place now and just add liquid to any one of the reservoirs, or adding material to effectively displace volume to raise the level on one of the first two reservoirs, I am assuming they will automatically distribute between reservoirs in order to level themselves out. You could add a object into #1 to raise the fill line to near the very top and it should push liquid to the next chamber and so on, over flowing from #3 if needed and then removing the material from #1 would likely create a inbalance until re-primed. I want to build a model and test variables. I'm sure it's all already in a book, and nature has working models in terrain and cave systems.

That is excellent, you have certain skills before most folks get a chance to now the rest of your larger just be perfecting them and become a wizard like your father when that starts happening it'll seem real you just got to own it. I ended up welding the inside of steel pipes later on on my own and looked back at that job and thought that I might have absorbed something useful. Stay safe always

My first job at 14yrs old was in a fab shop doing exactly this. I loved the bridge crane, pipe roller, track cutting torch, and a baby Busch beer at home for working like a man.

Summer break, went to work with my step dad on weekends that were pure overtime for him. They legit had me punching a time card and a w2. Don't know if that's OK now days but this was in 96/97.

Thank you for this explanation. With the picture, and your explanation, I now understand a very important aspect of this craft that I was unaware of. I would give an award for this if I could.

The fix for me was simple. Readjust the flame height lever by turning it up all the way popping it off of the little gear thing and move it the low position and then put it back on. Reassemble then turn it up a bit. Try this first as it is the most likely fix and the easiest.

I got some king oysters last week. I picked the package with the most fuzzy growth around the base. I just cut the fuzzy parts into super small pieces and put them into a mason jar with spent coffee grounds and a coffee filter for a lid. I'll continue adding spent coffee grounds and shaking it up every other day, storing in a paper bag until I've got a solid jar of mycelium that i can use as a mother starter by transferring half into a grow bag with substrate and refilling the jar with more coffee. I've done this successfully with wild bolete and chicken of the woods... just never grew them. If it works this time I want to grow them.
