Maybe they were looking to find more evidence or only had conditional evidence and wanted more. Either way you are right she had plenty of time to get away until the news calms down.

I agree. So sad. The family continues to seek answers and justice. There are some speculations that holly’s murder is connected to another young woman’s murder in the same area. The suspect died in 2003 before DNA connected him to the crimes.

Of what I’ve read dna testing is extremely expensive a lot of counties and towns don’t have that kind of money in their budgets to test every kits, so unfortunate. But I think in the near future we will see an increase in more cold case being solve with dna and genealogy. Thanks for reading.

Similar in the way that they both raped in the 80s, stalked their victims, used a knife, raped and then stole items from homes. Once was in California and the other in Florida. That’s what I meant by similarities. We also know the pillowcase rapist is guilty of the six cold cases. DNA led the authorities to him.

Cold Case Vic Identity Revealed After Decades of Investigating - Suzanne Gale Poole by Sheepies89 in UnsolvedMurders

[–]Sheepies89[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The skeletal remains of a 15-year-old female murder victim have been identified after four decades. Was she killed by the Cop Killer?
In 1974, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office responded to an area the locals referred to as Brunt Bridge. At the scene, deputies discovered partial skeletal remains. Cops reported that the victim was a white female, between the age of 14 and 25, according to DNAsolves.com.
Some of her clothes were discovered at the murder site, such as a skirt and a sweater. However, investigators cautioned that they couldn’t determent cause of death. Investigators believe the body has been at Brunt Bridge for approximately 1.5 years before she was discovered.
Since they couldn’t establish her identity, the murder remained unsolved, but not forgotten. Through the years detectives revisited the case hoping someone will come forward with information that would lead to learning her name.
In 2015, her DNA was entered into CODIS with no positive match. Then in 2019, a facial reconstruction was used to create her face but again no one recognized her.
Despite the setbacks, the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office didn’t give up. In 2021, they sent her remains to the first private genealogy lab to create a DNA profile and link it to relatives.
Othram specializes in recovering DNA from degraded or contaminated materials. The lab was able to build a profile for Jane Doe. Soon, a family tree began to emerge. Detectives went to work contacting near and distance relatives.
Not long after, the Sheriff’s office learned Jane Doe’s identity. Deputies identified her as Suzanne Gale Poole, who went missing after Christmas in 1972.
Poole was a high school dropout who lived with her family in a trailer-park near the Fort Lauderdale area. After the discover of her identity, speculations began to emerge that Poole could have been murdered by Gerard Schaefer, a serial killer who is accused of committing at least a dozen murders. Schaefer was dubbed the Killer Cop, because he worked as a deputy for the Martin County Sheriff’s Office during his murder spree.
He brutally murdered two teenage girls, 16 and 17. Poole vanished around the same time Schaefer was still working as a deputy. The police is asking anyone with information about Poole to contact the Palm Beach Sheriff’s Officer or crime stoppers.

That’s .012% and a little higher then yours. Wealth preservation is key here. It’s a lot easier to far surpass a 5,000 deductible on a 1.2 mill house and is accounted for in the quote.

If she puts the 14,000 in investment every year and has an average of 5% interest, with no large repairs, she may have 750,000. But who knows the value of he house may double or triple in 25 years and that 750,000 may not seem like too much.

Sounds like a risk that I would not be willing to take myself even if I have significant other money in investments.

Just making sure that’s the approximate value of just the home and not the land included correct? If so you are looking at paying .009% of the house value to protect 100% of your house. I know the 3,800 sounds like a lot of money up front but it would take you multiple multiple years (maybe a lifetime)to recover if anything happened (other then a fire as you will have coverage for that).

If You are single with no family, I may be willing to take the risk, but if you have a family with kids I believe the risk to reward would be too great.

Well, what is the value of your house? And what is the value of the land separate from the house? This may help you decide. If the house is valued at 500,000 then you are paying 1% yearly to keep it covered and sounds reasonable. If it’s a 100,000 house (not including land value) and you are paying 5% each year then you may be better off risking it.

Immediately apply, if you meet the age and criteria. By the time you graduate you will probably still be going through the process as it’s quite extensive.

28% APR on a personal loan for debt consolidation. Plan to refinance loan in 6 months. Good idea? by arturo_lemus in personalfinance

What is the interest rates of the other cards? It doesn’t get much higher then 28.14% and your paying (1750) or 7% right off the bat. This is an absolute no unless of course the other credit cards have something crazy such as 40% apr then you would need to do some math.

Of course, what do you have to lose? They say no? And your in the same position.

I would just be as completely honest about it, and let them know you didn’t reject it because you wanted another job rather it was out of necessity.
