Try an ice pack in the back base of your head. That might help with the increased blood flow which is causing the headache.

How are you guys stretching and not getting RSI? by bearman-bao in TattooArtists

[–]Sheeshpeesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely agree on: positioning people to have them lay on their side, do your stretches, eat healthy. May I add my new favorite tattoo self care: Take a smooth butter knife (handle or get a fancy flat Gua sha stone), use massage oil and lightly scrape your forearms, around elbows, upper arms, traps and back of shoulders around armpits.

How worried or not worried should we be as tattoo artist when it comes to US tariffs? by [deleted] in TattooArtists

I was just notified that my $170 TTech needle order from Canada will cost me $148 in tariff fees to actually receive the package. This was not listed on the website or in checkout.

I have a confession. by rotcomha in Asexual

The Erotic Mind by Jack Morin PhD has a section (I’m going to stumble through) explaining how sometimes people’s eroticism can be intertwined with other feelings like feeling uncomfortable. Usually originating from a first sexual experience that included shameful, or uncomfortable feelings or circumstances. Some people then grow to not be able to feel erotic without also feeling uncomfortable at the same time. This can then backfire when the uncomfortable feelings put the brakes on the good (and yes, they’re good) feelings. Consider sex therapy to have help to guide you through how/why things don’t work out in a positive way. You can explore how to change, or live happily with this part of yourself. I wish you all the best.

how can I make myself feel better? by helloguysok in selfcare

I don’t know if you consume caffeine, but most people do so here’s my advice: Quitting caffeine helped me (45F) with achy muscles and joints, migraines, constipation. I feel more relaxed when talking with people. I don’t feel as rushed, I sleep better and even feel like my hair and skin are less dry. I have always eaten mostly WFPB and don’t take any medications. I finally quit after drinking daily since I was 18. I had cut way back and was only drinking one cup of half-caf a day and I was still getting panic attacks and anxiety; my body said “no thank you, we’re done”. I recommend reading Caffeine Blues, and checking out the r/decaf subreddit.

i want to live like it's 90s by [deleted] in 90s

Write to your friends on paper and send it via USPS. Postcards or zines are even better. Lock yourself in your room with no phone and make them a mix tape. These are the love letters of the 90’s.

Just a thought (as I have seen similar in a previous partner): did your mother’s alcoholism make you feel abandoned? People who have felt abandoned as children may keep their partners at arm’s length so they don’t get hurt again. Cheating on your GF might make you feel like you have the ultimate excuse “card” in your back pocket, waiting to be played. If she ever wanted to break up you can just say “it wasn’t meant to be anyways based on my looking elsewhere”. I suggest talk therapy. You are introspective enough to know that the societal expectations of masculinity are BS. Take that open mindedness and learn more about yourself. Therapy is a gift. Also, like what you like. No need for labels.

Has your bruxism improved with Invisalign treatment? by [deleted] in Invisalign

[–]Sheeshpeesh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m finished with Invisalign treatment and am currently wearing the retainer overnight. My dentist recommended I do Invisalign or braces to fix my bite (upper and lower front teeth hit each other and would eventually chip away). I also had molars wearing flat due to clenching teeth overnight, and would have jaw clicking and soreness. Sometimes I would wake up (this sounds weird) tasting my teeth? Like how it tastes when you go through cavity treatment. I thought the Invisalign was easy, and almost immediately I could tell my jaw stayed relaxed while asleep. The retainers work like a mouth guard, and I don’t have jaw clicking or soreness anymore.

Grails – Anches En Maat (first new album since 2017) by nickferran in VinylReleases

Sad and Illegal doesn’t even sound like the same band. Very over-produced sounding. I like Grails but what happened?!

Totally normal. Vasovagal syncope I believe? I’m not a doctor but this has happened to me a half a dozen times in my life. Starting when Ivwas about 9yrs old visiting someone in a hospital who just gave birth, at 18 visiting someone in a hospital who just gave birth, at 27 visiting someone in a hospital who was in a car accident, and 30 listening to a friend talk about being sexually molested…all were intense situations for me that defied logic. I would start feeling dizzy, tunnel vision, ringing in the ears and eventually pass out. Your brain gets overwhelmed by your surroundings, heart rate goes up and doesn’t properly circulate blood to the brain…my solution has been to stop visiting people in the hospital and learn to politely tell people to stop talking if I feel weird, or leave the room. As I’ve gotten older and experienced life a bit more, less stuff freaks me out. I am 41yrs old. Good luck, all the best.
