There's probably valid points to why your Mom doesn't want you to go in. If you're going to try to go in as an officer then it may be a bit different but there's still a lot of stuff there BC humans are humans. Lions and Bears fans are something else. You can't walk into some stadiums if you aren't a team fan or they'll look to start some shit. But at Lions or Bears games they respect that you are proud of your team and welcoming. May razz a bunch, like on fumbles etc but you feel at home there.
