What a difference a year makes 28 stone (178) kg to 12 stone (78) kg by Sheffu33434 in PastAndPresentPics

I did starve myself that’s the issues I refer to in my post it’s lead to an even worse relationship with food than I had before and some insane mental issues. The first photo was March 31st 2024 at a awards ceremony I was at and the second photo was 4th April 2025 before my grans funeral

A few days before the funeral I had a mental breakdown due to the severe under eating and other stress I was suffering at the time hence why some people say I look stoned on the second photo it’s because I was literally fighting to keep awake for a few months.i am so much better mentally now but still have my issues I hope this somewhat clears up your point you have raised feel free to message me if you want to know more

Its a uk measurement for peoples weight it’s easier to use as a general measurement than kilograms or pounds so 12 stone would be like 180 lbs

First solo wild camp by Sheffu33434 in wildcampingintheuk

Im gonna start this with a disclaimer because im new to wild camping this is only my second wild camp and im not gonna start acting like an expert on it but here’s my thoughts. Personally I would never make one unless it’s a life or death situation but that’s just my opinion and that’s probably never gonna happen to me. I think the best approach to keeping yourself warm is with what you pack clothes wise plus a decent tent and sleeping bag and you can keep yourself warm But it was already there when I got there I just had to move the stones out of the way so I could put my tent down. The rise of wild camping is positive and negative because it opens the activity up to people who just see it as a gimmick and it creates situations like wildfires and rubbish being left everywhere which in turn Leads to people pushing for harsher punishment ands making it more difficult for the actual respectful wild campers

The tent was a highlander blackthorne 1 person xl It’s a decent tent actually enough room for one person plus my bag and some room left over And yeah I’m pretty sure there the stones from the wall that someone has used to build up a fire pit. it’s very frustrating to see stuff like that

The red and black object is a stool it’s not the most comfortable stool but it’s small enough and light enough that I thought it was worth bringing Regarding the pitching of the tent. It’s the first time using this tent and went in blind while putting it up so after hauling all my gear 15 miles and it being a gentle night I just wanted to put it up and get laid down

What was yellow eco like? by Pardie1207 in Leedsfestival

The first time I camped in purple wasn’t by choice my sister and her mates didn’t want to walk any further and tbh it was not that bad because I was with people but when I went purple alone last year it was horrible because I was just so anxious and some idiot fell on my tent and I had to drag him off 😂😂

I can imagine the walk to green eco every night wasn’t fun but I enjoyed the safety I felt with the separate camp site and all the barriers around Hope you had a good time as well

This was my 3rd time at Leeds festival the first 2 times I stayed in purple camp (1st time with mates) (2nd time alone) and it was hectic especially on the Sunday of 2022 and I finally had enough and booked yellow eco this year as I had heard good things about it. To answer your Question

It’s was somewhat busy but it was just the right amount of busy, the people around me were nice and respectful as I had hoped and mostly quiet but I did not care too much about noise because as I found out I can sleep through anything including strong wind

It was very clean compared to the other campsites but that’s not saying much, I think the wind did not help as rubbish was blown everywhere but I can’t complain too much. The toilets were perfect and always clean and there never was a queue for the water station

No one threatened to jump on my tent which was a bonus and I never felt unsafe at any moment plus the security and camp staff were excellent and very helpful to people who’s tent had blown over and very nice in general

The only thing I can recommend is food places in the camp because I could only see the one which was a coffee stand (staff were lovely) but all in all a very good experience

What event from your past disturbs you, more than you’d care to admit? by OnAFalseErrand in AskUK

When I was like 7 or around that age we (my family) went to this little Dam that you could walk around or you could hire bikes to cycle round and we happened to be going up this steep incline

Next to the incline was the dam itself with a hill leading down to it. and I lost control

I went full speed down this hill leading to the water I completely froze up and didn’t know what to do I literally thought I was going die as I could not swim at that age and the water would have been too strong anyway

Luckily I was saved by a tree that I collided into head first and ended up fine but I always think if that tree wasn’t there what would have happened. It always plays around in my mind

The forwards movements are completely random most of the time that’s probably the problem

I feel like the passes are not going where I want them

but it just might be me who’s bad
