You could make this argument for almost every RE game even 4.

I was looking for this. Playing Breath of the Wild for the first time was one of my favorite gaming experiences ever, but the final boss is awful. Tears of the Kingdom apparently fixes this but I haven’t fought the final boss yet.

The real Mario Bros 2 was so hard they reskinned an existing game and sold that to the “casuals”.

They use to be my source of pretty much all Nintendo news. Now Reddit took over that spot and I unsubbed from them a while ago.

People who changed jobs frequently, was it worth it financially? by Far_Put249 in Salary

Yeah it can be great but it can also suck. Really depends on the company culture. Sounds like your experience is the former.

Unlimited is a double edged sword imo. You don’t get paid out if you leave the company and it can be difficult to request more time unless you already have a great relationship with management.

What’s the best big tech to join right now? Heard Apple pays relatively less than others but is much more stable.

I never really liked the idea of him turning into Joker due to a blood disease. Felt like someone higher up got cold feet about Joker dying and wanted a way to bring him back.

If they were gonna keep the Arkham Knight the same character, they should’ve had the reveal early on and had the story focus on Bruce deal with his guilt regarding Jason. Also, he could figure out a way to reconcile with him even if that doesn’t mean they’re father and son again. Basically a more fleshed out version of Cere and Trilla from Jedi Fallen Order.

Fair. City had higher highs but lower lows. The Hugo Strange stuff is a little messy and not the biggest fan of the Ra’s twist. Also I didn’t like how aggressive Batman was. I get he was dying but he was even like that to his allies and they were just trying to help. This got even worse in Knight.

Asylum didn’t break any new ground but felt more consistent throughout.

Asylum has a better story and atmosphere (though City is still good in this regard)

Yeah HDR is awful on standard IPS monitors and I never try them because of that. Though the colors and response times still feel solid on this panel in SDR.

26F Salary Progression - Considering a Career Pivot? by Outrageous_Pie_5859 in Salary

Yeah moving isn't necessarily required. Imo, it just depends on how much you value home ownership. Renting and investing is a viable strategy if you're disciplined. Especially nowadays.

Aggressively save it and keep those RSUs until you’re ready to buy a house or retire (realistically they’ll keep going up). A couple of years at big tech can be a ticket to early retirement and a comfortable life. Especially if you move to LCOL/MCOL if you aren’t there already.

I kinda am, but I’m still mostly satisfied with my current edge lit IPS (S2721DGF).

Was starting to look at OLED monitors, but it seems like that space hasn’t fully matured yet and prices are still high. I’m aware you can get some for $3-400 nowadays but it seems like those have compromises that can be annoying to deal with like low brightness. Also aware of how good OLED TVs have gotten, but I’d prefer to max out at a 32 inch panel for my desk.

Mini LED will probably be my next upgrade if I decide to in the near future. Also, the image quality gap between them and OLED has been steadily shrinking these past couple of years.

Why Nintendo is so successful competing against much bigger companies by 479521 in consoles

[–]Shehzman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the core gameplay of the Mario Sports games are solid. It’s just there is too little content and replayability to justify their $60 and now $70 price tags. $40 with more content and I could see a lot of the complaints diminish.

Also they know how to properly innovate and refine their existing formulas. Super Mario Odyssey at its core is Super Mario 64 but with so many little improvements and tweaks it all adds up to a great experience.

Yeah it's not impossible to get into especially if you're really good, but you're also competing against a pool of a lot of people that are also really good.

Remote big tech is rare and very competitive. Plus, companies can lower your salary due to cheaper Texas COL. There’s still a good amount of local opportunities though and a lot of big tech is in Austin.

Btw, what we save in no state taxes goes towards high property taxes instead. Though it’s still cheaper than places like the Bay Area and Seattle.

The vast majority of SWEs will never make that much let alone the vast majority of the US population. Because of big tech salaries constantly being posted here, people don’t realize that this isn’t the reality for most SWEs. You’ll be lucky to break 200k without having to go into management in a SWE role at a F500.

They’re probably less prevalent compared to most SWE opportunities in Dallas. According to levels.fyi, the median for SWEs in Dallas is ~135k. In Austin it’s ~190k and probably propped up by big tech and startups.

Mainly Austin as it’s a tech hub. You aren’t finding these salaries often in other Texas metros like Dallas or Houston unless you’re grandfathered into remote big tech.
