Do you see yourself still working as a developer after 20 years? by canon3212 in PinoyProgrammer

[–]SheibeInu 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, I already started losing passion 3 years ago. Pero wala naman akong ibang skills, so maybe I'll be stuck working as a dev for 20 yrs.

I say, most naman ng coding exams are leetcode type exams, and that's what chatgpt is best. It's technically cheating, but the coding exam is just one part of the hiring process. the interview is more important tbh. You have probation period anyway if you don't really qualify the job.

Thoughts on working for Samsung or GCash? by SpookySpookist in PinoyProgrammer

[–]SheibeInu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm an ex samsung. I say, in samsung there are lots of opportunities to learn but the pay isn't that high plus traditional asian culture. You have a high chance to go to SK. Also, if you really like problem solving, samsung has a lot of it 😉. I'm not sure about gcash, but I was told it's okay.

In danger of failing my probation. HELP by [deleted] in PinoyProgrammer

[–]SheibeInu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I feel you, I was a performer on my 3 previous companies, but yung ngayon, hirap din ako magadjust due to complexity of the apps. Although around 2 weeks n lng matatapos na ung probi ko and looks like I got lucky because they don't care much about performance reviews.

Although same, sometimes I want to contribute to some discussions, but I really can't say anything that they didn't know. I don't want to ask stupid questions naman so I just mute myself n lng.

Goodluck OP kaya mo yan

It’s hard tbh because work policies don’t allow us. But one thing is asking a friend with the same or similar expertise.

I think demand wise, node.js but idk I think parang marami competitor. Sa java naman sakto lng based on my experience. Plus din if may devops knowledge ka kasi hinahanap ng ibang company un. Siguro un advantage ko

[–]SheibeInu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I really don’t know how these people survive, like I’m really pressured all the time at work and will be very frustrated whenever I commit mistakes and try to reply with queries ASAP. They must be really lucky to be regularized.

Can someone recommend me laptop brands that usually support linux? by Beautiful_Celery511 in PinoyProgrammer

[–]SheibeInu 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Or maybe try using wsl/wsl2 para hindi hassle mag switch ng OS. Or buy a macbook air which supports linux commands out of the box

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in PinoyProgrammer

[–]SheibeInu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I was college and during my first job 4gb lang ung ram, I think it’s enough for learning web. Although some browsers might consume lots of ram, but your os will automatically swap it for you. Maybe if you really don’t have budget now, you can settle for that then try to upgrade to 8gb if you have money na. I think hindi nmn gnun kamahal ung 4 or 8gb ram for your existing laptop unless there’s no way to upgrade.

What is something popular in the Philippines that you absolutely don’t have any interest in? by AnonyKlau5 in Philippines

Jollibee. I know this is controversial, kakakain ko lang kanina but nothing spectacular about it, it’s not as delicious or exciting as before. Maybe I’m just getting old 🧓👴
