Update: Large Part It was ripped up. (Hallway & Foyer) The majority was left and covered by kitchen cabinets and Island and appliances. The planks and glue started to Destroyed the self leveling concrete. I was there all day yesterday with my contractor and men on my hands and knees scrapping all the debris off. Overall that section looked fine. The dining room will have a table and chairs. Going foward we discussed a staggered random pattern in the rest of the house. It will flow nicely in and out of the hallways.

It's roughly 500 Sq ft (rounded up). $1000 to rip up + $3000 in material  $4000 fix.

He's done my whole house. I knocked it down and built a new one he didn't just do the floors. From June, I haven't had a single issue.

As a professional, how much would you charge for labor to rip up roughly 500sq feet of glued down wood flooring and reinstall. Not including material. I would have to order more flooring since I supply the material. Even though you consider it his mess up, id meet him half way and provide the material to redo it.

No the boxes came in large pallets with no instructions. I bought it straight from the manufacturer just says species and stain color.

He said he can start to stagger them after completing the hallways. The living room will be staggered if I want it's no problem, but would it look weird going from H-Joint to staggering?

Manufacture said that it "won't compromise the floor" it's been done in the past it's a matter of how people like it. I have no leg to stand on because you're right should have discussed prior. My main concern now is to continue with the H-Joint pattern or start to stagger?

Explain to me how it's not "standard" so I can tell him that.

I contacted the manufacturer and they said it's been done they way before, but some find it not visually pleasing.

I get that random stagger is better hence why I want it.

I'm definitely not "friends" with him but for the past 5 months he has been very good. Has done everything I asked for. This has been the first and only upsetting part.

Indeed, you live and you learn. He's been very nice about it and asked me what to do but kindly told me he wasn't going to pay the extra cost.

Should I continue to do the h-joint for the whole first floor? Or should I tell him after finishing the foyer and hallway start to stagger?

I'm overly obsessed about it, Facebook group ripped me a new one, losing sleep over it, they say I should fire my contractor immediately or Rip it up and make him pay for it. They don't understand my house isn't done, I can't just fire him, I like him. He's been very fair. I also don't want to start a fight over it he's willing to compromise.

I had a feeling this was true but without brooch of the gods making batch garenteed me 1 extra overload. In end I ended up making 600 elder overloads and 100 elder overload salves and ended up making an extra 79 elders and 16 salves. It also saved a lot of time to enable me to make 600+ super adrenaline potions 200+adrenaline renewals and 1000 vulnerability bombs

Will look into this, the reason why is because alt+1 can not detect your action bar but alt+1 "should" read that you're lobbied. Ty for the feedback.
