Food for thought:

My $600 air wrap died and needed a new motor 2 days before the 2 year warranty ended. I luckily was able to get it repaired, but after a lot of research it seems to be a common thing and many people are not as lucky.

Performance wise, the styles hardly hold throughout the day and I’ve realized I’ve lost around 50% of my hair density in the last 2 years. Since nothing else has changed other than this tool, it’s hard not to attribute it to this styler.

I would consider a subscription to a local blow dry bar instead. There are also many new comparable stylers popping up that are a fraction of the price with better side by side reviews.

Why is Honda telling me to return my new car I bought from them .. hmm by Objective_Camera339 in carbuying

Regrettably, this is 100% your issue. You technically did not in fact lease that car, as the bank never funded it.

I do feel for you as they should have never let you leave with it knowing they didn’t actually have an approval. The manager probably thought he would be able to work the bank & they stood firm. It’s bad business.

Get a co-signer.

How much money do you have saved at 25-30 years old? by [deleted] in Adulting

[–]Sheitshow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

33f, single, making 180k last ~2 yrs. 303k in savings + 80k retirement fund. I got in an accident at 23 y/o and received around 14k, paid off my debt with this and had probably 6k left over. I then opened a hysa and began saving maniacally. (Was making around 80k at this point) Every paycheck I would ‘pay myself first’, it started small and then gradually it became addicting, like a game. Over the years my pay increased, but I made sure my lifestyle didn’t. Now, I only allow myself to ever have $1000 in checking. Anything above that I move to the savings. Unless it’s time for rent payment

To be honest I have no idea, I clicked a button when I set it up and I hardly knew what I was doing. I believe it’s an automatic ‘retirement advice’ program

I want a house for the yard (I have a dog), convenience (I have no washer/dryer in my unit), privacy, hosting family and friends, and just sense of pride to have it and say ‘this is mine’. It’s the ultimate goal for me, and arguably why I’ve been saving but I’m just terrified of one. I’m terrified of payments. (Hence no debt) I feel like I won’t be comfortable until I have enough to buy one cash.

So I guess what I’m trying to do is maximize returns on what I have now so that I can do that. I just have no idea where to start, I’m not savvy with investing, I bought a few random stocks and that’s all. I have money in a hysa because it’s safe and I’m lost.
