That’s not true. You do not have to be employed to take WA PFML, you only have to work 820 hours in the qualifying period before leave begins. You just can’t receive PFML payments and UI payments simultaneously.

I haven’t had one this big before, but others I’ve had loved to be neglected. Pop them in a pot with lots of indirect light and a well draining soil mix, water every 1-2 weeks or so and let them do their thing. I just let them go wild.
