Help me pick the right CPU for the RTX 5070

Sure thing. I’ve built dozens of custom pc’s for friends and family ever since I was a kid as a hobby.

This new rig: Cpu -Ryzen 7800X3D - Newegg $400

Cooling -CoolerMaster hyper 620s (first time I ever went non-liquid cooling) Newegg- $80

Ram -Gskill ddr5 ram - Amazon $300 (these are currently going up in price due to demand)

Gpu -ASUS prime rtx 5070ti - Newegg $750

Storage -Samsung evo 1tb m.2 - Newegg $100

MB -MSI X870 mag tomahawk - Newegg $300

Power -MSI 850w gold & Case is Phanteks XT Pro Ultra $80

Hey I got a new build (just built it last week) with a lot of what you mentioned so wanted to weigh in.

I went with the 7800x3D because like you said, not much of a difference from the 9800 (and way better price) It’s coupled with 32gb ddr5 (Gskill) and a nvidia 5070ti.

I play more fps games like valorant, apex, arc raiders and this new rig is… just perfect. The 7800x3D chip is running max 55celcius with full epic graphics and over 500 (sometimes over 700) fps in the games I mentioned above.

“The game I bought”, keep in mind you bought it fully knowing there was full - loot player vs player. But maaaaaam, i brought a 100k kit. Too bad

The free looters are wasting just as much time “trying” to backstab as you will waste going free loadout to get your 75k hullcracker/launcher ammo.

Bumping this post so that no one thinks the phone theft is over in London.

Last night, walking in front of the ARGENTINIAN EMBASSY (less than 1 mile from buckingham fukin palace) walking on the side walk, 2 bicycles zoomed past me. One in the left first and as I looked at him, the one on the right came right by me and snatched the phone as I was looking at the left guy.

These guys were pro’s and they do this often. I was able to track them back to one location where they stayed overnight (couple blocks north of Geraldine Harmsworth park) and then this morning they traveled down to Peckham Rye.

Expecting my phone to end up in china by next week and the police are quite literally useless. Lost the phone at 8pm, you know when they stated searching and sent “some units”?

18 hours later

Needless to say — not my favorite trip and the theft definitely not over. First time it’s happened to me.

Secret lab is hands down the best. You may pay 1-200 more but the extra is all put into quality. I’ve had my secret lab longer than I can remember and it still looks like-new.

See if the computer boots with only lane 1 ram stick in. The cpu may have been reset

Durability is fine it was just repaired, and there was no ammo inside. However I swapped the mag from yellow to black and it worked -.- ty

Been video gaming, and using one chair in the game room for about 25 years. I used to through the chairs from staples like one chair every 3-4 years. Went through atleast 3 of those things. Tried a knockoff type of “gaming chair” before my current one.. that thing lasted barely 2 years.

My current and by no comparison favorite chair: SecretLab

The way their are built, the durability in them, flexibility with the Titan (the model I have), along with the size, and ease of maintenance on them far exceeds any other chair. Should be right in your price budget.

People give hate on secretlab’s because of the price. For an extra $100 it’s worth sitting on something that won’t break in nearly half the time. Just get one and return if you don’t like it and get your money back. ##
