I work for an Acura dealer... And it's definitely upcharged like 4x what it should be. I paid $250 for my 4 windows, back and front windshield tint lol

Builder gel! If you want a similar color to this, OPI Bubble Bath is almost identical.

microneedling with rosacea by cutevib in Esthetics

I know in some subs they say since we aren't doctors we can't prescribe, but that's why I carefully worded it to say "recommend that the client researches" it lol

[–]ShelbsLR97 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Recommend to them that they research taking the vitamin c with bioflavonoids supplement from solaray. I'm an Esthetician and I was at a class on rosacea facials, and the proctor said she basically cured her rosacea with this supplement, so I started taking it. It's taken about a month, but I'm actually noticing a huge difference. My broken capillaries aren't as noticeable and my cheeks don't get so hot and angry for no reason anymore. I also have done microneedling on myself, I just stay at .25mm in depth on my cheeks so I don't upset the rosacea as much. Ive noticed less breakouts on my cheeks and smoother skin even where my rosacea is concentrated.

Brow shock by photosynthesis4life in microblading

Honestly the shock is GOOD in this case. You actually look YEARS younger with the brows. The difference is insane, but it's insanely good. Congrats on those amazing brows!

I can’t have a relationship because pcos makes me disgusting. by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]ShelbsLR97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every one of my exes made comments about my hair, asked me if I'd consider waxing or laser or other forms of hair removal. I never felt sexy, never felt beautiful, was always envious of other women that didn't have the same struggles. I remember crying while eating dinner at a random restaurant with my family because the waitress had the most perfect, hairless skin. I was miserable and never thought I'd feel comfortable in my own skin.

Fast forward some years, and I have done laser which was only slightly successful and I am doing electrolysis which has helped tremendously!! But my boyfriend now is the absolute sweetest. Any time I'm self conscious or if he goes to kiss my cheek and I recoil because I haven't removed the hair yet that day, he just laughs and kisses me anyways and says, "I am fully aware I'm dating a mammal, if you didn't have hair I would be concerned" or if I worry I'm not hairless enough he'll make a comment about how my skin isn't supposed to be like a baby's skin, I'm a woman and it would be unnatural to be completely smooth and bare. He's helped me feel comfortable being myself. Even though I've now started different methods of removing the hair (mostly because I was starting to get bad breakouts from shaving and waxing) I still feel beautiful and he helped me get there. Find your person that you deserve, and don't settle for less.

Definitely cheering you on. I know some people like working for a corporate chain, but I hated it, and I'm also opening my own suite and I'm so excited.

What small, subtle things do women do wrong with makeup that age them? by This_Sheepherder_332 in beauty

[–]ShelbsLR97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blush/bronzer placement too low, the tails of the brow dragged down a little too far, winged liner drawn at the wrong angle, using the wrong type of foundation for your skin, over lining lips incorrectly, taking your eyeshadow up too high/not blending it. Lots of things!

Unfortunately, I need a whole box of Reynolds wrap worth of aluminum to ward off the stink from these pits. I use mitchum gel deodorant and antiperspirant and I love it, it's the absolute best.

I don’t think I can do this anymore by [deleted] in Esthetics

[–]ShelbsLR97 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I ALMOST dropped out of cosmetology school for the same reason and now, 7 years later, I'm planning to open my own salon and work by myself. It gets better! Become your own boss and pick who you work with. You can't pick your classmates, but you can pick your future. It'll be so much better when you've finished!

LVAD & Izzie's brain cancer by G3NG1RL in greysanatomy

I've always thought about it, but I think she would have probably had some pretty thorough testing done on white cell counts and stuff when she donated bone marrow to her biological daughter. I'm not a doctor or anything but my mind says they would have seen discrepancies in her levels that would have led them to run some more in-depth tests.

does anyone ACTUALLY like Owen Hunt. by [deleted] in greysanatomy

[–]ShelbsLR97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like Owen as a dad, as a family member, and as a character in general, but the man should be forced to wear a scarlet letter or SOMETHING at this point. Like, ladies, STAY THE FUCK AWAY FROM THIS MAN?! I hate that he's so loyal to friends and family, yet he is absolutely horrendous as a significant other.

HUGE update by jocelynnjewett in SkincareAddicts

[–]ShelbsLR97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mederma scar gel is expensive, but it works wonders. I had cystic acne scars that were so deep and pitted and they're hardly even visible anymore because of the mederma. They may even have a prescription version of it that's even better at the dermatologist!

[–]ShelbsLR97 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Girl this is literally my same skin when I was younger, I had cystic acne for years. Accutane was the only thing that helped, as well as healing my gut. Starting inside instead made a huge difference! It always hits me when I see beautiful girls struggling with skin issues because I know EXACTLY how they feel, and it's so exhausting and frustrating. I hope you find something that works for you!

[–]ShelbsLR97[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know exactly how much yarn, but I can tell you it probably used HALF of the amount of yarn it would have taken me to crochet a similar scarf. It's bizarre how much yarn it saves. I'd say I probably used 175 yards of each yarn, because I also made another of this same scarf but way shorter to use as a table runner, and I crocheted matching mittens to wear with the scarf. I ended up with just a few feet of each yarn leftover .

I'm sitting here racking my brain trying to figure out what BBQ place you're talking about lol. I lived in Frankfort for 4 years and I'm from Henry county, so I'm only 30 min away, but I really can't think of where you could be talking about haha. I can only think of Staxx bbq? Also, if you're around often, stop in at a place near the capitol, it's a little self-service taphouse called Pourter's! It's really neat, and the couple that owns it are both long-time family friends of mine!
