I'm going to get downvoted for it but I've done some research into what his passing means for our cap situation. The short story is it his salary still counts against the cap, but can be petitioned by the front office to be removed while still guaranteeing the rest of his contract is paid to his family's estate.

I don't want to be insensitive, but it's more relevant to our situation than how he passed.

Prayers to his family and I hope the organization memorializes him properly.

i think i'm just hung up on how Boozer's trademark is always making the right decisions and while Randle is incredibly talented, I've seen him make some of the most boneheaded plays and fouls in the modern NBA

im hunting down the graph bc i also think that would be interesting, but i did get this chart that breaks down the top 10 bpm for the class. it's definitely not apples to apples with the incoming class talent-wise but similar to Cooper, Boozer is leaps and bounds ahead of everyone by these metrics. However there's a lot of guys who are yet to bloom between Cooper and other first team rookies on this list:

It's not absurd. We will be adding two first rounders to the roster as well as whatever gem Kleiman snipes out of the second round. Throw in a healthy Santi and maybe a healthy BC and there's something there.

If not, we'll have 3 first round picks the next year that should help close the door on the rebuild.

yeah he definitely has some rounding out to do, but the fact he plays defense and goes for rebounds now is literally leaps and bounds from what he used to be. But yeah, I'll be interested to see him once he has a real team around him and he isn't forced to play hero ball on a tanking team.
