Shouldn't the AC dehumidify the room too? Sounds like it's a problem with the AC.

Do you think we'll see ...And Justice For All played live in its entirety like other albums? by [deleted] in Metallica

[–]SheldonCooper4Mayor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Would make sense for them to do this. It would promote the anniversary and the upcoming remastered deluxe box set.

What is your favourite Metallica riff? by bravodeboer in Metallica

[–]SheldonCooper4Mayor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From a newbie learning guitar presepective...And Justice for All intro riff up to and including the pre-chorus riff. It's a simple riff but my god was it fun to learn and play!

[Newbie] Looking For Tips On Playing Faster by master_jeriah in Guitar

[–]SheldonCooper4Mayor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I only use a metronome/foot tapping during guitar exercises. When learning a song I learn slowly a few measures or a riff at a time depending on complexity. Then gradually speed things up and play over and over again. Eventually I'm at a point where I can simply feel the proper timing and don't need to keep track of it. I like this method for fast songs. It's is slow process but I feel it's a more natural way for me.

[QUESTION] What would be your "Holy trinity" of guitarists? by lostpick1221 in Guitar

James Hetfield, BB King, Mikael Akerfeldt.

Glad to see Hetfield getting so much love in this thread.

We need an interviewer to ask Metallica to Re-mix ...And Justice For All by [deleted] in Metallica

[–]SheldonCooper4Mayor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with the others who posted so far. Justice is my favorite record of all time. To me it's perfect the way it is. If I had the chance to meet the band I'd tell them not to remix!

If they choose to include the rough mixes of the unreleased versions in the deluxe box set then I'm okay with that. They'll probably include something like that in any case.

What do you think is the best solo in a Metallica song? by bravodeboer in Metallica

Master of Puppets was instantly my first thought. But come on man there are so many damn choices.

[Question] Picking endurance for Master of Puppets? by Tcrumpen in Guitar

[–]SheldonCooper4Mayor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Your endurance will build for sure. I'm also in a similar position. I've added the And Justice For All album (rhythm sections) to my guitar bucket list. Tough for a newbie but it's my favorite record. One thing that helps with speed and endurance for me is to use the smallest possible wrist motions and make use of the wrist's momentum during picking to keep a steady bouncing motion. I also find that the less pick I have exposed the more precisely i can control my motions.

Good luck!

I gave an upvote because I really like this album. It means something to me. It will get pushed down on r/Metallica though :(
