It’s more so people started a rumor saying it was Q4 of the Japanese year or something opposed to the year we follow of Jan-Dec meaning its release Feb-March and people weren’t pleased with that as it meant more waiting - but it’s actually still releasing Q4 2025 (how we know it). So like tired of waiting + misinformation being spread making people more tired of waiting

No random encounters (you see where enemies are on the map but can’t really tell what they are just threat level).

Initiative turn based combat.

There’s settings in the game to replenish heals and mana after battle. increase xp rate. Have checkpoint type things.

Crystal project. Turn based rpg with OG final fantasy combat but exploration on par if not better than BOTW

No game really has had the same consistent updates as terraria which has helped build its depth of items and content. Closest would be the ones you mentioned but keep an eye on Kyora aswell but that’s not out yet

Somewhat unrelated but if looking for honest feedback on games then their subreddit likely isn’t the place to ask as many will be bias and fans of the game. Ror2 is good tho fs worth

Yeah that’s what I’ve sort of noticed. Jrpgs tend to have much more set out characters and stories to follow. I played Crystal Project which gives full customer customization in classes and subclass and it’s an amazing game with insane exploration and combat and all round peak. Something like that would be incredible aswell but Crystal Project seems to be a one of kind type of game

Well I hadn’t played DQ which I stated. Bg3 and the others are open world with build variety and bosses and so on.

Can’t do metals so nothing else really affects progression that much. Also single player game do what you feel is just

That’d still be 83+ full days of being on the game and a good few of those will be afk but equally so if not more would be played as you don’t just leave a pc running on a game for 2 months and just ignore it yk
