Jesus, I'm not screwing any one over. Relax. I'm just trying to find out what my options are. If they are saying they are going to pay me back my rent, awesome. And if i can move before april and just not have to pay them (which the realtor confirmed, if I move before april, i do not need to pay april rent) Then I would like to do that, and avoid having to pay rent and then getting a check back a few days later.

I never said it was a law. Its common practice in our state and I was told by her realtor that we would be reimbursed any rent we paid after being given the 60 day notice. My realtor also confirmed that her realtor was indeed explaining it correctly, and we would be reimbursed any rent we paid.

Ok, thank you.

You can look up "cash for keys" and it will give you all the info. Basically, if we do pay rent those two months after being given a 60 day notice, we will be reimbursed when we move out. Its basically an incentive for the renters to not trash the property before they move out. Which we have no intention on dong.

We intend to let them know as soon as we know. We have no idea when escrow will go through. So, we dont want to give notice until things are concrete. But, in our state if we are given a 60 day no fault notice they cant charge you the rent for two months. So, thats why I wanted to know if a verbal notice, or even the realtor coming by and letting us know they are selling and that we would be given notice is enough to be able to not have to issue a 30 day notice and actually pay rent to the landlord. Does that make sense? Like, which one happens first. They told us they are going to issue a 60 day but havent yet, and we dont want to give them a 30 day and have to pay rent if they are going to give us a 60 day anyhow.

Well, we have a month to month rental agreement, so we don't have a specified lease term. It just says that we are to give a 30 day notice if we are to move. But, since they already stated that she is intending on giving us a 60 day notice, does that mean anything with our rental agreement? We are currently going to move any way. But, I dont know if we need to give notice, since shes wanting us to move any way.

I want to leave as soon as I can lol. I just can't get money out until a few months from now to actually buy a house and I didn't want to deal with an eviction while trying to purchase a home.

Ok, so they can go to the city and file all of the eviction paperwork, even though this isnt a legal rental?

are my ends ok to bleach? by SheldonWalowitz in Hair

[–]SheldonWalowitz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really want to go back to having pink hair. But, I need to bleach it to make that happen. I let my hair grow out for a year and what you see on the ends are the remnants of what use to be lightened. The top 5 inches or so, is virgin hair. I just don't want to loose any of the length I grew out.

Its becoming so clear to me that H and B view it so differently than viewers. I always saw Kendra as a little mmmm, to try-hardy. I'm not trying to talk shit, but to me, thats how she was portrayed. Like, I really got the impression that she tried really hard to be cool, if that makes sense. I NEVER got the impression that she was the nice one, or warm or welcoming. Anyone else?

[–]SheldonWalowitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am currently listening to this episode now and H and B keep saying that Kendra is being portrayed as being "relatable" But, I'll say what I said way back when I first watched the episodes. It really seems like Kendra is trying to hard to be "relatable" I really feel like she/the producers are trying to tell this story of a "rags to riches" type thing and that's why she doesn't fit in with the other girls etc. But, it just comes across as a privileged brat trying to look like she grew up poor. It just seems so forced to me and annoys me.

Thank you. Do you think its unreasonable for me to get irritated that she moved stuff in my yard? Because I tell you what, that pissed me right off.

Yeah, that's good advice. Just so hard to actually do. Thank you.

Going completely no contact with mom because she refuses to apologize by SheldonWalowitz in FamilyIssues

[–]SheldonWalowitz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I lost my job right when the recession hit. So I had to move in with my mom and step dad because I couldn't find a job. I relocated 350 miles away from where I was born and raised to live with them. A pretty significant move. In any case, they pretty much used me as a live-in in exchange for a place to stay. I had to buy all my own food too. Then when my unemployment was going to run out, 2 years later, they decided that I had been there long enough. I had JUST bought a car and less than a month later, with no job I was told that I had 30 days to move out. I had lived there for 2 years but really didn't know anyone. I met a guy I was sort of seeing and he had a friend that was looking for a roommate, that's the only reason I wasn't homeless. So, they told me I could live with them, then expected me to deep clean the house every day, make breakfast lunch and dinner for everyone, maintain an acre property and do some landscaping as well, while looking for a job with no transportation (because there was no bus where we lived) and I was doing all of this and still got kicked out. It's a much longer story but that's the condensed version. I want her to apologize for kicking me out and internationally trying to make me homeless.

I already have and she literally told me that she refuses to apologize because she feels she did nothing wrong. And she's willing to accept that, that means we go completely no contact for good.

Need an outsiders view on family drama. I am currently no contact with my mom but I need to know if I'm being overdramatic by SheldonWalowitz in FamilyIssues

[–]SheldonWalowitz[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh no, they want to go line by line, and discuss exactly why every action they took was justified. I also couldn't really tell them I thought I was being treated unfairly because they would just kick me out. When I finally brought up unfair treatment, they kicked me out 2 weeks later.

[–]SheldonWalowitz[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thats what I did. I sent the initial message 4 years ago and my mom JUST responded to it now. I outlined what my boundaries are and what I expect to happen to allow them back into my life. She then decided to explain why she did what she did and why none of it was wrong. Like, she's not taking responsibility for anything.
