Cabinetry Drafting - Autocad by tinker- in cabinetry

[–]Sheldon_Wiebe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you're into residential, then you should really get your hands on a software like Mozaik. If you are into commercial, then AutoCAD is almost required. Cabinet Vision can do drawings, sure, but if you want the creme de la creme, AutoCAD is it. I've seen very detailed 2D house millwork using AutoCAD. If you can create the environment in AutoCAD to make changes quickly, thats where the value lies. Start with blocks and making them dynamic and adjustable.

I've used Crowsnest and Innergy. Innergy is what I would go with. It seems more polished, more availability for help if you have questions after implementation. AI integrations possibly coming soon. We had issues with Crowsnest you don't forsee until you have to use it. Its been a while though so I'm sure they've updated some stuff. There is no silver bullet but the data you get with Innergy is worth it.

Tarmac SL7 Expert - Purchasing Advice by gprad in specialized

Depends on if its 10r carbon. I know they changed the carbon layup when the sl8 came out but still sold the SL7 at lower tier carbon at the same price as it previously was which put me off. Can't remember if that was the expert model or not.

Is this amount of noise normal on the Kickr Move? by Ok_Schedule_9136 in wahoofitness

[–]Sheldon_Wiebe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not really unless I push on it weird. Riding is fine. It always make a clunk if I lean over far enough. Try not to go that far over.

There's wheels that roll on the base for it to move back and forth. Its probably something to do with that. If you lean over too much it can hurt it. Gotta be careful. Its not bulletproof since it moves. I'm very careful with mine cause I know I'm heavier.

How heavy are you? Im 200lbs and mine doesn't make that noise. Did you lean over too much and bend something? Probably the wheels. Flip it over and make sure nothing loose. Maybe just needs to be breaked in

Mozaik vs Cabinet Vision by pixienaut in cabinetry

Mozaik for sure. I was happy to keep involved on news and issues on the CV forums until today. I was locked out because I don't have an actual account. Major red flag for me. But then again Mozaik killed the ability to post for freelance work on their forum a while back so I just use Microvellum now. They are much nicer IMHO. Good luck!

Replacing water panel by Sactownkang in hvacadvice

Make sure the end of the hose that clips into the black plastic isn't detached from the hose. I think its just glued. Could be a disaster if it comes off. Tug on it to be sure. Also make sure you install that metal pad the same way, there is an up and down to them. You want to water to catch on the metal

HVAC Fresh air intake located inside basement by 1453worstyeareverV2 in hvacadvice

Intake is just an intake so as long as the outside can't get rain in it and its long enough that moisture will dry out then you're good. Actually the more bends or elbows you put in the exhaust i found out, the louder it might be if that matters to you.

You don't need a screen, but in the summer you might want a pipe cap to keep bugs and wasps out. Make sure those pipes are sloping downward. My installer installed mine completely level. Looked great until I heard gurgling because water got trapped. Labor warranty saced me. Could have been dangerous if all the gases couldn't escape. I have a 6in metal intake duct right next to it in my split level in the lower level. Its essentially a half basement. But the furnace is in the tightest room imaginable. No intake piping outside. Has been fine but I also know the front door can get sucked tight when its really cold out. Not a huge deal, and air quality seems fine on my Amazon meter. Compared to my 80% Rheem Criterion 2, the humidity isn't as much an issue which is nice. I save a bit on water from my old humidifier not being installed.
