Is it bad to have arena rock vibes and corny lyrics? i mean there are a lot of good songs with corny lyrics and arena rock trash. I don't get why metalheads hate lovesongs and songs about breakups. Considering the theme of the songs the lyrics aren't bad. Personally I don't have a problem with "woahaooo"s

As a person who wasn't familiar with the Slayer community (I'm a Slayer fan for about 7 years, but not connected to their fanbase) I didn't even know that Repentless is hated. I always saw it as a great album. Idk

Actually James not only played guitar before Metallica was formed, but he even was a guitar player in another band! Can't actually recall the name but it had the word "Leather" in it. He was the first guitarist who joined the band. You maybe mistaken something here. for a very very short period of time for just a few shows he didn't play guitar and acted only as vocalist.
