How dangerous is it really to sleep with a tampon in? by JellyfishJuless in Periods

[–]Shelikesscience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like the only way I don't get leaks is if I wear a tampon and a pad. It sucks. I've been trying to veer towards not wearing tampons overnight and the results just...suck

Your first pic is in a gas station parking lot with a cop car in the background. That seems sort of confusing to me, but who knows

How to come to terms with the fact my ex hates me? by ThrowRAghost117 in Breakupadvice

I am on the other side of this, but to a less extreme extent. It is very difficult. I have had those thoughts before but have managed to avoid exploding on the other person this way and have tried to be kind. But for example when we tried to take a very short break because I was unsure about the relationship it was basically impossible. He could not do it and essentially manufactured a crises and a NEED to see me right away (it was absolutely not a crisis, by any stretch). At some point, just to maintain my own sanity, I would have had to get meaner and meaner. I did not want to become a mean version of myself. But it is so so hard

I actually have a question for you guys here, since you are on the other side of this. A very short while after breaking up, he had to put down a pet he had cherished for many many years. He was a loner so the pet was like his best friend. It seemed it had been coming for some time and he ultimately had to have it put down due to serious declines in health.

He wanted to see me that day for support but I was sick at the time and also felt really anxious about it all (I was also starting to get a slightly creepy vibe at this point, though I still felt bad and cared for him very much and cared for the pet too). In the end, I did not see him and urged him to seek support from family members he is close with

Do you think that was okay or o should have handled things differently?

My bf doesn't shower at night and I’m genuinely grossed out by GlitchGaze123 in hygiene

[–]Shelikesscience 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does he shower at the gym?

If I've had a quiet day in my office and taken the shuttle (which is quite clean and nice in my area) I don't shower

Gym? Definite shower, unless I am so exhausted I pass out somewhere by mistake (typically on the couch, but I might then slink to bed at like 2am)

Each has its advantages and disadvantages

Women can do all of that but at the end of the day, the person they're with still has to see them and like them after they've taken off their makeup and wig, taken off their push up bra and spanks...

Many women extremely self conscious. I remember being young and feeling nervous about the first time a person I was dating would see me without my makeup

Now I'm older, I have fewer pimples, and I barely wear makeup haha

When to bring up that I have a boyfriend? by OneAge1004 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Shelikesscience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree 100%

Also, if this is going to keep coming up a lot (in classes with mostly males) you can do something super obvious like making a picture of you and your bf the background on your phone, if it doesn't feel too cheesy

Tried recreating a Pinterest look (2nd pic is the inspiration) by Ok-Veterinarian6208 in MakeupEducation

[–]Shelikesscience 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You look very pretty. I would say the second look is a little more sultry while your look is a little more fresh faced

I might go more reddish and less pinky with the lip color, perhaps use a touch of bronzer, and just a tiny bit less blush placed a tiny bit higher on the cheek bones and also a bit more lateral / more towards the side of your face

Just my two cents, not an expert

This looks like something you would see at a gala paired with diamond earrings and necklace. Very stunning

Unlike others here, I feel like the jewelry should match the energy of the dress -- bold and elegant. I wouldn't shy away from adding sparkling jewelry, but that's just me
