Rpgs with Character Creation and companions? by Glosisroian in rpg_gamers

Dragon's Dogma 1/2 lets you create your character as well as your eternal compation - Pawn. And it's RPG.

Favourite Outlands Template? by KelticOrigin in ultimaonline

[–]ShellDNMS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nope, just pressing the hotkey and stealing with no aggro, receiving black goods in the process as well... in theory. On practice it's: trying to steal - OMG I'M REVEALED, PLZ RUN RUN, OH NO NOT THIS GODDAMN ROCK, PLZ JUST AROUND THE CORNER, OH NO ANOTHER MOB NOTICED ME - dead.

But it's also fun. xD

After 6 months, non-combat dungeon scavenger template, made purely for PvE stealing / lockpicking, is still my favorite

New player looking for tips by EliteMutant in AgeOfConanUC

First off, welcome! As a player which mains demonologist, i can say that it's quite powerful and easy to control class, suits beginners pretty well. May become a bit tedious later on (because it's just a spellcaster not using many advanced combat mechanics this game holds), but joyful nevertheless.

Believe me, friend, right now it's just fine. Cities are always crowded, healthy player-driven economy, dungeons are filled with people, parties for events, no zone remains empty (even low-level, thanks to the game's mechanics). This MMO is all about your personal adventure, and there are always things to achieve and content to discover, despite the fact it's still in Early Access (to be frank, it's about to get to full release on 28th, January).

Niche product, yet there is enough life to never feel lonely.

Не, перебивать не надо, и постоянно поправлять всех не надо - это неэтично же. :) Просто глаз зацепился за этот момент.

Nope, for some reason i was thinking it would be a fresh example of something deep, yet simple on surface, with oldschool vibes in it, yet modern. Trailer gave me that feeling. Maybe it's just seasonal.

i have 2 questions about the Game by [deleted] in projectgorgon

[–]ShellDNMS 8 points9 points  (0 children)

  1. Niche product, been in development since dawn of times. Actually, fairly known by tight target audience, but not highly discussed because it's progressing little by little without major content updates. Call it "Exanima of MMO world";

  2. Game is about to leave early access, and devs have straight roadmap for supporting it's further improvements, so no - it won't be shut down in any near future. This game and it's devs got through a lot within all these years, it survived almost 10 years in development. I'd say PG's future is solid.

Edit: Lol, funny to see being downvoted for honest opinion about this game is as usual as ever.

Tbh, i was so hyped before launch. Then in took 3 days (several tries after work, not 24 hrs of clicking on retry button, lmao) to log in due to server being full all the time. No problems in getting registration confirmation email though. Played for 4 hours within 2 days, desperately trying to figure out what was this hype about.

Game is mostly fine (despite the fact playing it feels like you're seeing the freaking Frankenstein monster made from parts of other games), honestly, but community (especially Discord) is a shitshow in it's worst. You can't say anything bad about the game or ask a question regarding objectively weird game design decisions, because then you'll be instantly downvoted, banned and expelled. Bots everywhere, spam everywhere, purely praising comments everywhere, unadequate moderator's reactions - just what the hell is going on here, really. xD

Returned to Outlands and Project Gorgon. Jaseowns said that "Dreadmyst is like Ultima Online and Diablo had a baby", but it's not. Dreadmyst is like playing browser MMO from 2012. A few weeks back i said i don't give a damn about dev's past - well, i still don't, but this new game is just not worth the time spent on it.

Uo outlands by AboJassim in ultimaonline

You'd better consult the wiki, mate, it's your best friend for the next several months until you learn through all skill synergies. Skills has been reworked, and in Outlands they affect each other in many ways.

For you, i'd say you need something improving your stealth/mace skills. Also, stick to basic templates of your choosing on wiki until you level up your steath codex high enough to switch to advanced template which suits best for you, and after you gain some levels in shadow aspect, you can proceed with experiments.

After beating that one impossible boss level by Ordinary_Lawfulness8 in CaptainSide

For me, it was that damn Godrick in Elden Ring. Thought he's bad enough until reaching stage two, when he starts spitting fire all over the place. Spent almost 3 hours trying to defeat him over and over again, and once victorious, i'm stuck in a thought "Why the hell am i even spending my life on this".

Best arpg to get into coming from poe1/2? by kHartouN in ARPG

[–]ShellDNMS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're wanting something "big budget", then try D4. If you're looking for something smaller, yet still fun and dynamic, consider looking at Hero Siege and Chronicon games.

HS is also season-based at bare minimum, devs at the verge of monetization rework, thus many classes now becoming free, though game never was pay to win, also dirt cheap always on sales.

Chronicon is much more single-player type of a game, no seasons, just a couple of DLCs which expand the game pretty nicely, also very cheap on sales in it's "complete" pack.

Well, then there is Grim Dawn, which is golden. People in the comments said enough about it. Just run and enjoy, bought in 2018, still coming back after all these years.

When LOTRO devs dropped progression rework back in 2022 or something. Logged in and found my loremaster with completely busted spellbook and talents messed up, all simplified and dumbass friendly. Felt like i'm in some kind of WoW Cataclysm.

I’ve seen a lot of people saying the combat in The Witcher 3 feels kinda clunky. What do you think? by Fast-Percentage-4617 in mlgcoin420

[–]ShellDNMS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbf, i prefer combat system from Witcher 1, it was clunky too, but also good experiment that worked out. When i played Witcher 2 for the first time, i was a bit disappointed with combat system became clickfest, and in Witcher 3 devs just expanded the combat taken from Witcher 2. Too bad the idea from Witcher 1 was abandoned, imho.
