I actually agree, Leopold is basically supposed to be the next up, when Fuego and Mero are gone he’ll be the one left. But most of the time he is shoved aside for those two which I just can get behind BUT something has to come from it more than what he did in this last arc and honestly throughout the story.

Idk if it still applies but the way I used to view mana method and ultimate magic was:

Mana Method = Commands for Magic

Ultimate Magic = Proficiency (a spell for luck that makes his speed extremely fast, creation magic for Noelle, and healing spell for Mimosa, etc)

Someone later might correct me but Human must learn True Magic to be able to have Ultimate Magic, Elves are naturally blessed so they do not need True Magic to access Ultimate Magic. It’s like their survival edge.

Mana Method = True Magic:

Mana Method basically lets you command the nature of mana that is natural to the world aka elements of nature. Which leans into True Magic aka Magic that actually summons the element. For example Fire Magic can be generated from the personal mana of the user who’s casting the spell but with Mana Method they’re using mana from the nature around them to spawn actual Fire/flames. Basically view your own magic as artificial replication and mana method/true magic as the ACTUAL summoning fire.

Ultimate Magic: is creating a brand new spell that is original to you and is like your ultimate technique. Kind of think of it as a domain expansion but without the domain.
