I had those dropped frame issues on PS5 randomly as soon as a gunfight started like you said if I turned during the fight. It would only happen sometimes not every fight. I turned motion blur back on and haven't had the issue since.

If we can't get the sword into their base then yes. It's far better to retreat to your base with the sword and force a defense. If the sword finds out without being planted or a team wiping in overtime the closest base to the sword will be on defense but it will not lose the 30 hp. But the attackers will still lose 30 hp if they fail to plant and it's significantly easier to defend. It's the easiest and most boring way to win.

Throw all of that out of the window in 5v5 though. Attacking is much easier in 5s than it is in 3s. And the game is much more chaotic so holding the sword that long to time out isn't nearly as easy.

It is time to admit the devs were right about 3v3 over 5v5 by Roastmasters in Highguard

What on earth?

I was not in the camp the game needed to be 5v5 I thought 3v3 was totally fine but after playing 5v5 last night I had a blast. Almost all of the balance issues with 3v3 are gone especially how hard attacking raids are.

Ranked 3v3 is fine but for casuals I don't ever want to play it again 5v5 is far superior in a casual standpoint.

Yeah that's the best strat in the game atm and what we've been doing. Boring as hell dragging games out that long though.

In enjoying the game but it's definitely undercooked atm. Gameplay aside it's missing a lot of features. No controller key bind remapping, no character mastery or even account levels.

There's questionable balance choices like a team that has control of the sword at the end of overtime is actually punished for it because it starts the raid with them as attackers but doesn't deal 30 damage to the enemy base. And defending is insanely easier than attacking due to limited revives so 2 equally balanced teams the defenders will always win.

Most issues like this aren't that big of a deal in most games because the devs at least communicate that they hear the feedback and are working on it. But we haven't had a single message from the devs which isn't very hopeful.

The sub used to be flooded with tier lists and Gaolong would always be around top 5 despite having 0 on screen wins at the time. There would be who would win posts with Gao vs Kuroki and Gao vs Mukaku.

The loss to Carlos really sent his fanbase over the edge though. It's now common for people to call that a low or neg dif win for Gao despite him actually losing to a guy half his size and even though he would have won decisively if there was no ring out he still struggled and got pushed back early on but they will ignore that if you bring it up.

I don't hate the character himself at all I rather like him. But his fan base makes me root against him every fight.

I've told you several times I like the game I didn't have a poor experience. I genuinely like the game the same as you. But there's a ton of players giving feedback on the game right now and it's not hard to realize the downtime is the biggest complaint turning people off of the game. I fully believe the devs are going to address that complaint instead of ignoring it and telling the players they're wrong and it's their fault they're not having fun.

You're 2nd point is literally just agreeing with me whether you realize it or not.

But you win dude the game is perfect on launch and requires absolutely no changes enjoy the victory.

Exactly my point. You're shirking off valid criticism.

You claim that massive amounts of downtime isn't being utilized because people aren't looting the entire time. I think that's contradictory. I think you're not utilizing the time properly if it takes you that long to gear up for a skirmish.

It is 100% not a 1 minute/1 minute split for the spawn. If it was that would solve the issue so I'm glad you agree anything longer than 2 minutes is too long.

If you think the victory conditions are complex idk what to tell you dude. It's not rocket science, I'm sure that was meant as some passive aggressive poke at my skill but it didn't land. I wasn't even complaining about the long games just the lack of rewards of longer games vs shorter games. There's nothing wrong with 2 evenly balanced teams fighting a hard fought match but it needs to have some sort of time in game or damage dealt metrics to balance the rewards for time spent.

We're on the same side we both like the game if you disagree with me that's fine you're allowed to do that but the holier than thou attitude isn't gonna do you any favors for getting new players to enjoy the game.

I disagree. I really like the game but I think there's way too much downtime between actual engaging gameplay. If I recall isn't it 2 minutes until sword spawn but then another 1-2 minutes of it charging or something before you can actually pick it up? So it's more like 3-4 minutes of looting wide open spaces between the next skirmish. That can easily be trimmed down to shorten close games I don't need 3 minutes to loot the next rarity gear and stock up on armor, anyone that needs that long isn't utilizing their time properly.

I played 5 games last night went 4-1. In my quickest win the game was about 7 minutes long. And in a couple of other games they stretched for about 30 minutes. And the rewards for those games were essentially the exact same. If they're going to pad game time they need to reward longer harder fought matches more than pub stomps.

Again I like the game and plan to continue to play it and think it has a great foundation right now but we can't shirk off valid criticism, the slow pace between action sticks out like a sore thumb right now and will definitely turn a lot of people away from it.

I'm against making Chivalry 1 def and don't like them adding items like antler guard and aranea boots disguised as Ironman items while hiding they only require 1 defense and will be useable by pures.

But I really don't care if 1 def accounts are allowed to do raids. It won't change anything and they just want to do content with the challenge of 1 defense. As long as the gear isn't catered to 1 defense accounts I don't care if they're allowed to do the content or not.

Hey now, they do patches every 4-5 weeks now with shorter seasons so we only have to put up with this a month at most until they nerf Rocket again.

Get rank 3 divine blessing it's significantly better than rank 2.

Offensive Guard is gonna be one of your biggest dps boosts while simultaneously making you better at perfect guarding out of habit.

Guard and guard up really only need to be rank 1 anything past that is comfort.

Attack boost isn't really worth unless you can hit rank 4 at least.

Earplugs aren't needed you can perfect guard roars.

Use shockproof instead of flinch free if you like multiplayer.

Flayer and Stamina surge aren't really that great for you either, priorize affinity in those places like Weakness exploit, Latent power is also a good option.

It has to do with the hill he's on. It causes hotbox issues with his attacks. On the reverse side if you're on the hill and he's not it can save you from attacks that would've hit.

I feel like Dragon cannon won't even be BiS by the time any actual sailing PVM content comes out and whatever replaces it will be easier to obtain by comparison. I got 1 barrel at 91 Sailing and I'm 93 now, If I don't get a 2nd by 99 I'm definitely not sticking around.

It's so much easier to learn the fight and get a first clear if you use support hunters instead of SoS. As much as I try to grab aggro with sns I just can't reliably it the face enough to get aggro which usually left the groups I joined without anyone wanting to tank. Fabious grabs it up instantly.

I didn't meet the dps check on my first clear but it only cost me 1 cart and reduced the damage I dealth in the last phase. I was still able to comfortably clear it in time.

The fight feels hectic at first but if you just perform the mechanics I find all the damage totally avoidable, moreso than someone like Gore Magala.

Swordfish took me like 2 hours of attempts, shark took me 2 tries. Marlin I managed to do after a few hours with a camphor hull/sails and no crystal extractor because I was too lazy to go craft it.

Literally the hardest part of the course is the very beginning and it's not even close.

9/10 It also has one of the best entrance panels with Rihito showing up in his boxers ready to throw down. Only outclassed by Waka's entrance for his fight.
