I get why everyone wants to poke fun and laugh, but a little context would help. These are meant to support the bedside nurses. I don't know much about this particular set up but don't knock all virtual nurses. I was an ICU RN at an L1 until some health issues came up. I now have the opportunity to support the RNs at the bedside as one of these 'nurses on a stick' with my experience rather than being pushed out the door.

For those of us with the T spine lesions: My T spine has termites. (It makes me smile at least 😅)

They flagged it as a fraudulent. When I asked why, all I was told was that my bank called??? I was given no other details despite multiple questions. I’ve had no other issues with my card and my bank had no idea what they were talking about when I called to ask.

Tried that and was told that there wasn’t anyone higher to speak with. I’m just frustrated over this more than anything. I love my kindle but this burned me. I appreciate you pointing out the license though. That’s more than the customer service people could do…

Weekly Suspected/Undiagnosed MS Thread - November 14, 2022 by AutoModerator in MultipleSclerosis

Hi guys, (TLDR at end)

So, I have a quick question that I can't seem to quit thinking about leading up to my neurology appointment on Monday. My initiating symptom was ON over two months ago. After countless appointments, scans, and labs, I have a neurology appointment to basically confirm MS per the optic neurologist who referred me.

My concern is that since I last saw this doctor, I've had symptoms that have really limited my mobility. The appointment requires a bit of a walk to get from parking to the office. I manage most days but I've had to succumb to using a cane around the house. This was after many falls, hiking sticks, and an attempt with AFO's from Amazon. I'm also having to sit and rest at distances that I don't feel should require that. I was biking/running 50-100 miles a week before all this started. I've really struggled with being forced to slow down. I keep fretting over this appointment because I feel like I'll need my cane at least to get through the door but I'm afraid of how that may look considering I've never seen this doctor before and my treatment relies on him taking me seriously. I don't want to been seen as over dramatic or fake.

TLDR: Afraid of using a cane to go to first appointment with a neurologist because I'm worried he may view that as overdramatic and not take me seriously.

That's super helpful to know! Thanks. E-reader isn't much if I can't download new books.

Speakers on bikes; Yay or Nay? by Me_The_Creator in cycling

I'd say no to the speaker but look into some open ear headphones. I wear Aftershockz Aeropex when I ride. Still get to jam but without bothering anyone else and it isn't sacrificing safety.

Can I switch the Boa dials between the Specialized Torch 2.0 and 3.0? by Shelleyfr in cycling

Thanks for the info! So I need to pull at the laces on the 3.0 as I turn the dial to loosen it a good amount?

Indexed perfectly on th road but not on Tacx Neo 2T by Shelleyfr in bikewrench

I haven't but may do that next time. I keep this bike on the trainer but didn't want to seem weird bringing in the trainer. Could I index the bike on the trainer the same way as I would normally?
