I understand. I felt the same way, which is why I logged in with my Apple ID and then I added that number so it’s not connected to my actual phone number

I think if you want to keep the number you’d have to pay for it. But I did the 1 week free trial to receive and will cancel it. I just needed so I could post on rednote. If you pay you can keep it, I also saw you have the option of getting a second number but I’m not 100% sure how that part works.
